Once on holiday (a very restful holiday where not a lot happened) I stayed awake for 2 nights ina row, and it never caught up with me.
As for sleep... One nasty new years I got alcohol poisoning, and slept for about 2 days with only one or two awakenings (n ot many pukings).

I think I was awake for about 36 hours then slept for about 18 hours after that. I was very ill in hospital at the time and didn't want to go to sleep incase I didn't wake up.
I discharged myself the next day and slept for 18 hours straight in my own bed.

longest sleep was around 14hrs i think and longest awake time is 3 days - twice!

i so wanna sleep it's not funny any more.

5 hrs a night at best it seems. i wake up before my alarm clock every morning and i stay up late at night to make myself tired. even tried avoiding caffeine based drinks.

3 days without sleep was done regularly at all the Donningtons, Ozzfest or Download festivals I've been to until I hit 30 and nowadays I need 8 hrs sleep just to stop me falling alseep when the bands are on

Longest sleep was 24hrs when I was ill with some kind of chinese flu

Not an experience I ever want to repeat. The 40 hour run back from Texas was not fun, but that was due to nicotine withdrawals

Coming up to a Crit last semester was 32 hours awake followed by 4 hours sleep followed by the aforementioned 40 hour marathon. Wasn't so bad seen as the rest of the year was doing it as well, moral support and all that

Although I have done 24 hours straight of sport, which was the most tired I've ever been

Longest I've been awake is around 40 hours.

Longest I've slept is probably around 12 hours after a lot of booze. I normally wake up exactly 8 hours after I go to sleep.
