EF-S lens wont work on a 5D Mark II, and you certainly cant get one for that price!!
sure its not a 50D?
50D would make a lot more sense than a 5D MkII at that price with that lens [/QUOTEI know the body alone cost £2k + and is the correct body not d50 etc..
Beat me too it...
the 17-85 is the 50D kit lens is it not? So that would make sense.
something smelling a bit fishy around ere'
What's the source then? Because we would all like to know where we can get a half price 5D MkII!
Yeah, of course it does. I await saturday when you get a brick in a box delivered.
How do you go from 17-85mm to a 24-105mm? Lol.

The person you are getting it from must be selling it at a loss as I doubt even the bigger shops get them in at that price.
(Unless you know someone that works at Canon?)
Yeah, of course it does. I await saturday when you get a brick in a box delivered.
,hilders, if you get it and post pics when it arrives, ill be the first to apologies, as will many others i guess.
seriously though, if you can get such good deals, cant you get a few extras and sell them on ?
You make a post bragging about about getting a camera at less than half price with a lens that won't fit.
Did you really think this thread was going to go any other way?
The cost price on these is still £1050, it was higher when they came out...
You already replied to that post as well. In fact, you sound a lot like someone who was recently banned (again).
I just don't understand how any source gets said gear for such a low price to be able to sell it for that (if legit), and the fact they originally told you the wrong lens, that won't even fit the camera. Just smells a bit. Also you're getting pretty defensive with people saying that it doesn't fit, and stating the facts about the price of the gear you are getting.
Can i ask, how come you didn't just get a cheaper camera and more glass, to learn the basics, rather than spend so much on your first camera and restrict yourself to one lens?
You are bragging but have nothing to brag about?
I don't know anyone in this thread.
