You should have the monitor plugged into the graphics card, not to the motherboard.yes i have
I did think that but when i do nothing happens i'm thinking the card is not in rightYou should have the monitor plugged into the graphics card, not to the motherboard.
After you have the PC fully turned off (I mean: at the plug), make sure the power connector(s) are fully inserted (they can be a bit tricksy) and the card is happy in the slot.I did think that but when i do nothing happens i'm thinking the card is not in right
I think i may have the wrong leads trying to power it upAfter you have the PC fully turned off (I mean: at the plug), make sure the power connector(s) are fully inserted (they can be a bit tricksy) and the card is happy in the slot.
Are you using HDMI or DP? DP can be problematic on some cards, nvidia have released a firmware update to fix some of the issues.
yes changed power cable out for those other two and now i can even get geforce experience downloadfrom asus forum help
New definition: the LED behavior with a 16-pin adaptor cable (splitter) is:
Red = System shutdown/hibernate/sleep
No LED effect = System on, connector inserted properly
If your PSU has the new 16-pin cable, then connect that directly to the GPU - cleaner build and indicator always off.
all up and running now?yes changed power cable out for those other two and now i can even get geforce experience download
I think i might be there now, today i had to change the power cord for the graphics card as i found two (lol) which i used yesterday to do a 126gb download would not fire up the card today, 3rd lead now in lol..........all up and running now?
Thanks for the reply yes, i have the 3 on the front blowing in air one one the back pushing out and the 3 water ones pushing out air on the top.Have you updated the bios for the motherboard? I found this to be a reason my computer crashed a lot to start with. I was however an early adopter of the am5 platform.
Regarding the GPU over heating, have you got the case fans the right way round so you have air flow through the case?
normal when not under load.Should my GPU fans be spinning as they don't seem to be or is this normal or can i test them somehow please.
ok i'll give that a try hoping this maybe the reason my games crash a lot as it says gpu overheatingnormal when not under load.
test them by firing up something gpu intensive (game or benchmark)
what says the gpu is overheating?my games crash a lot as it says gpu overheating
The fan stop shouldn't normally be an issue, but some games can hover around the point that they turn off/on and that can cause problems.as it says gpu overheating
Great thanks just trying to work out why my pc crashes every time i fly on msfs2024 with the above specs, I have just rolled back the gpu driver to an older one and have the side glass off to see if that helpsThe fan stop shouldn't normally be an issue, but some games can hover around the point that they turn off/on and that can cause problems.
