Three reviewers that I actually know and trust gave it 9, 8 and 9, so I expect it to be pretty damn good

Sounds like the worst of the performance issues are on consoles (PC Master race ) and Eurogamer reviewed it on PS5

Xbox is the worst apparently, and the developer has even put out a tweet to acknowledge this fault !

personally going to leave it a few months until the kinks are worked out.

Looking at the online reviews everyone seems to have fps drops and stutters in the footage.

Giving this a miss for now, my GPU is too weak for it and PS5 apparently has perf problems, I'll try it at some point but in no rush TBH.

I don't know why they withhold the keys really, Steam gatekeeps the digital unlock anyway, unless they simply don't have them yet.

On the plus side, watching Cohhs stream of it and he is currently playing the PC version WITH the day 1 patch installed and the performance seems much better than before

Some good settings options here for some common cards, will suffice until Digital Foundry do their thing...

Hehe, I skipped it to the 3060 , 1440 section...general gist of it was DLSS on quality, Shadows on Med or High, Visual Effects on High, Post processing on High, Reflections on High, Global Illumination on Med, Foliage on High, Motion Blur off and the rest on Ultra, gave around the 60fps mark.

Well, character made, used the settings I mentioned above and currently at 1440, DLSS on quality , showing as 92fps. Thats fine, will give it a run around for a bit and see if that drops

For a laugh I am going to start out as the condemned.

I fully reserve the right to start over but I'll give it a go, also will try not to use any of the pre-order boost items for maximum difficulty.
