Hi :) i've lost just over 10.5 stone within the last 22 months, cutting out a lot of rubbish crisps/chocolate and eating a lot healthier....going from a 48" wiast to a 34-36"....i have around 1200 calories a day (breakfast-a bowl of weetabix or special k....lunch-a sandwich and a breakfast bar....and tea-anything like rice/pasta/fish and a bowl a cereal on a night as a snack, and exercise nearly everyday, including my job which is pretty physical....10 mins on the treadmill, 15 on the rowing machine and 50 sit ups, not at the gym atm and was wondering if this would be a better option to start using weights?....i'd like to lose another stone if im honest to be 14.5, altho my self confidence has shot up 100xs more than before the loose skin at times can be just as bad :( but any tips are really appreciated :)

I went from 183lb to 163lb in just under a year. It's stupid to think your going to lose a load of weight over a short period. Best way to lose weight is just to be patient and make those small changes like eating a little healthier and walking that extra mile.

Weigh in tonight - lost 8lbs in two weeks, 1lb off my first stone now. Missed last week's weigh in due to work commitments. :D

I remember talking to you about this a few weeks ago. What methods have you used to lose weight? Whatever it is, it sounds like it's working really well!

Yeah, i remember your emails. Thanks!

I'm with Weight Watchers now, using their points system. VERY easy. I think what's doing it though is the exercise - I'm out every night that i can (i think I've missed about 5 nights in 4 weeks) for an hour regardless of weather. I started with simply walking very fast each night for a week. The following week i done the same, then mixed in a bit of jogging. Gradually I've been building my stamina up and once i wasn't getting very tired from the fast walking i changed to jogging. I'm feeling the difference, and I've never dropped a stone (almost!) so fast in my life. I'm well up for it this time - more so now I've got a stunner to take out tomorrow night (hope that works out). Still a way to go, but feeling very confident about things now.

Don't eat chocolate, crisps, cakes, anything like that. Was in France last week for work and turned down so much nice/bad things! It was difficult with everyone around me tucking in..but i stayed strong! Worth it now.:)

Thats a pretty dramatic weight loss, I would aim to lose weight slower than that.

Someone else said this to me. Quite frankly, I've got enough to get rid of so the faster the better. :) If it slows down then that's fine, but i'm gonna stick to what I'm doing.

4lbs a week isn't that dramatic really.

I've been pretty much bone idle for almost 8 years. This year I decided to change my lifestyle and decided to buy a treadmill. I've only had it 2 weeks but I've been on it for 10 minutes every night so far and am already making steady progress. This evening I ran 1.3KM on it.

I hope that if I keep this up for a few months I will begin to shed a few pounds!

There's nothing wrong with my diet I don't think, it's probably healthier than many "fit" people!
