I think I know some of the other reports being referred to. Utterly heinous. I fail to see how there is any honour to be gained in murder.
Maybe that's just because I'm not a backwards twisted piece of human effluent.
What grinds my gears above all is that their alleged providers of justice stand by and let this happen. Literally standing and watching it.

Sadly yes, the difference you would hope is that the police wouldn't stand idly by and the offenders would get sent down.
though it is perhaps a factor this wasn't some Islamic court sentencing her for anything etc.. rather it was just a cold blooded murder carried out by people who happen to be Muslims. Its a bit different to say apostasy whereby a significant portion of Muslims support death (the majority of Pakistanis for example) - I think there is less of a link to Religion in the case of honour killings though certainly the stoning as a punishment and the general attitude towards women obviously is related to Islamic views in Pakistan
Pakistani law and Pakistani authorities are also to blame - Policemen apparently didn't intervene - it happened outside a court building FFS... The fact the 'kidnapping' case even went to court is a joke - the family alleged her husband had 'kidnapped' her by marrying her.
Pakistani Law and culture also enables the honour killings - when someone is convicted of murder the family can give them clemency... in this case the family were the murderers - some of them can take the fall for it and then have other family members agree to clemency.
