A few points raised:-

It was mentioned that it was moved to general, from speakers corner, because it was not designed to promote debate.

The 6 pages of almost illogical rants behind this post, i guess you can consider debate. the posts with 'No's being the basic instinct of a monkey grunting in its cage.
Too stupid to define, why, or ignorant in the knowledge to understand.

Why do people not understand ? - the country is full - our taxes are paying for people who have never, and will never, contribute to the system.
Open, mass, unrestricted immigration, is probably the worst thing a government can do to its citizens.

Housing, Crime, the NHS, Doctors, Dentists, Road Traffic, Pollution.. you name it, everything is affected. (in a bad way).

In my original post, i outlined in simple terms, why, the LibLabCon had failed this country. you can go and check the facts for yourselves.. but they are essentially true.

Why do you think that even a bunch of trained chimps sitting at computers could do worse? the country is already about as ***** as it can get. No swearing. Gilly.

The national debt, is £1,400,000,000,000,000 thats around £55,000 per household in the UK. its rising by £200,000,000,000 per annum.

Do you not understand the poverty and misery that is going to befall our children because of this?

And every single day, the government borrows £54,000,000 and gives it to a golf club, called the EU.. so they can make laws, for you to conform to.
every.. single... day...

I see people complain on this thread, about various things. and yet, despite decades of the same old politicians in power. they don't have the thought to say ''enough is enough'' someone else needs to try.

Perhaps a lot of OC'ers live in the labour dominated areas.. i don't know.

I'm a UKIP candidate, supporter, and activist. i leaflet with a guy as black as the ace of spades, and a little indian guy call mo, cos no one can pronounce his real name.

yea, call me racist all you like.

You honestly don't think that English people are inherently lazy, and that a number of those 1.2 million unemployed, are very lazy?

This whole argument of "people stealing our jobs" is just not valid, because those jobs would not be available if English people had filled them in the first place.

Christ that is a facepalm of a "point."

:D

It's a good thing those UKIP guys aren't the swivel eyed loons the Tories think they are.

Because it is complete and utter nonsense. That's straight from the Libdem handbook of EU apologism!

Spot on. What proportion of that so called hard working young British population would be happy to work as cleaners for minimum wage or get up at 4am and pick cabbages on a farm! Not many I bet.

Ugh, Jesus wept.

If you look at that graph, the annual growth of borrowing is decreasing. If this trend continues it's perfectly reasonable to expect public annual borrowing to level off and shock horror - the public debt may even shrink. If anything that graph proves that the current government have slammed the brakes on, wouldn't you say it's polite to give them time to come to a halt before changing driver?

Maybe the wording is nonsense, but the point is not.

We have 1.2 million unemployed. A certain number (that I don't know) of immigrants have entered the country. The majority (I'm guessing, by the sounds of UKIP) have found jobs. The English people are still unemployed. So, then, which jobs have the immigrants taken?

When we have 1.2 million youth unemployed we don't need building sites full of poorly trained and low wage eastern europeans when they could be full of the next generation of apprentice joiners, builders, electricians, craftsmen no.

Problem is a fair portion of them either don't want to work at all, refuse to work for the money provided, or are holding out for a graduate role. Dominoes UK CEO said he could create thousands more jobs if people were actually willing to fill them.

lol. "Gross debt" is a bit cheating, though, don't you think?

Have a look at the overall debt to GDP levels;
http://www.economicshelp.org/wp-con...ads/2012/09/national-debt-percent-1900-12.png

It was much worse in the "good old days"

Just to clarify my point, "gross debt" doesn't take into account assets (such as debt owed to us)

It's a bit like me saying I have personal debt of £200k+, due to my sizeable mortgage. But actually, I have a corresponding asset which is worth more than the debt.

Walk onto any building site and ask to borrow a hammer.

See what you actually get given, thats just for a start.

Of which I would think the vast majority are the be-tracksuited British born individuals who hang around many town centres sipping cans of lager throughout the country. Who have a take-take rather than give and take attitude to society that has been bred in for generations rather than the migrants arriving in this country who will take any job they can. As has been raised before, the chance of these people working minimum wage jobs is virtually nil because they want to be lottery winners, footballers or glamour models.

If UKIP instituted a policy where for every immigrant arriving they exported one of these lazy chuffers they'd have my vote in a second.

Why would a school leaver aspire to work a Dominoes full time? A lot are looking for the avenue that will provide their life career, the one that will fulfill their dreams and aspirations. They don't exist anymore, the apprenticeships that were abundant only 15 years ago have gone because large firms simply don't need them as there's an abundance of scarily cheap foreign labour willing to live in a bedsit and send every spare quid back home where its worth much more to them.

Dominoes? Lol!
