Low 80s too hot?

If you want to change your case obviously up to you . Im just saying you don't have to.
Its seriously noisy at the moment when both the CPU and GPU fans spin up in a desperate attempt to keep things as cool as possible. So it’ll be nice to have a quieter system that I know is being cooled effectively.

i think i was reading your case is 9 years old. nice to have a change.

Well I’ve gone ahead and ordered a Fractal Design Torrent Black Dark Tint Windowed PC Gaming Case. My old case was over 9 years old and still had spaces for internal Blu-Ray drives. I use an external one.
I have the gray one, it dropped my 3090 by 10c compared to the o11 dynamic i had before. But, it CAN get a bit noisy.

My advice is, don't connect all the fans on the fan hub that comes with the case. Independent control of front and bottom fans is ideal. From my numerous testing, bottom fans don't do anything for your CPU temps, so they should be idling at all times unless you are using your gpu. Front fans are quiet until around 55%, after that just the sheer amount of air movement kinda vibrates the whole case.

Use a program like fancontrol from within Windows to set up your fan curves. There is an option with the software to make the bottom fans only respond to GPU temperature

I’m not that bothered about noise otherwise I would have changed my case ages ago. I just never realized I had an air flow problem. I suspected it, but it wasn’t until I saw the in game CPU temps with MSI Afterburner vs the lower temps with the side panel off that I realized there was an issue.

I have the o11 dynamic too its nice looking case but i like the look of the fractal one tempted to get it myself if it drops my 3070 temps

Look what I've got :)

I ordered it from a competitor for £180.58 inc VAT and delivery, then sent them an email requesting a VAT refund as I’m in Jersey and we don’t pay UK VAT but have our own 5% GST which is charged upon import.

Anyway it wasn’t as simple as refunding the VAT they had to create another ex VAT order and charge me for that before canceling and refunding the original inc VAT order.

I had to wait until I’d received the order before proceeding, so I emailed them to say I’d received the order yesterday and they called me on my mobile to take payment of the new ex VAT order of £150.48.

They did this via their website and I had to enter a PIN number on their website then pay by credit card, however it wanted to send me a OTP but the number listed was wrong so I cancelled.

So we tried again this time using debit card but it was declined, then we tried again using PayPal and this went through on my credit card.

Then they sent me an email saying my original order will be refunded back to me in 3-4 working days and they’ve set me up an account for future ex VAT orders as their website can’t process ex VAT orders.

I must telephone them next time quoting the ex VAT account number they’ve created for me. Anyway they’ve raised the price of the case to £194.99 inc VAT now it was £164.99 inc VAT when I ordered plus DPD delivery.

So all in all I got it for £158 ex VAT including £7.52 GST and £12.99 delivery.

Been looking at an installation guide on YouTube am I going to need some PSU extension cables? Got an EVGA 750W Bronze BQ PSU.
I've never had psu cables not be able to reach, but sometimes there isn't enough slack to route it some extravagant tidy route, it's your call if that's worth it. I suppose there's a chance of cables not reaching, but there's one way to find out :)

Well the guy in the installation video I watched on YouTube used extension cables so I’ve ordered some. Comes with 1x 24pin ATX, 2x 4+4 pin EPS & 3x 6+2 pin PCI-E.

£20.24 ex VAT delivered.

why are you setting PBO on auto without having TDC, EDC and PPT set. with those set, the board will limit the current or power gets delivered to CPU and thus reduce your temperature.

also PBO2 - curve optimiser is bascially undervolting the CPU during PBO...this is optional really but good for the longevity of the CPU as well as give much better thermals
