Nice, be sure to tell us if it smooths things out.
saints row is evil with any decent settings it runs horrible need to lower it all i think its just a bad port from consoles
any luck yet? only game i play thats the same as you is minecraft which runsd at 100fps with a 128x hd texture pack installed.
Just ran Metro max with Advanced DOF - OFF and Tessellation - OFF and got about 20 - 35. Im going to try minecraft now.
That's around the same as before isn't it?
Yeah, and im getting 60 - 70 FPS on minecraft...
Hmm, so a slight increase in Minecraft then? I honestly think it could be something to do with the RAM in that case, it should be running on the XMP profile. It's designed to run on it, yet you're unable to play any games with the XMP profile running? If that is the case, try and run with the XMP profile enabled again, and see if there's any difference now that you're running Windows 8.
I turned it on and its exactly the same FPS in minecraft![]()
I'm really not sure then. Do the frames increase significantly when you put the settings on low? Or do they stay at around the same rate?
I set minecraft from far distance to short with a 10FPS increase lol
No, it was getting about the same FPS.
I'm really not sure then. Are you sure that the GPU is running near (within 5% of) 100% usage?
May sound daft, but have you got the correct motherboard drivers installed?
i.e. not just running off the 'Windows-own' drivers?
Download the latest board drivers from the manufacturers website, install those and see if there's any improvement.
