Low Frames On New Build

i dont know if it is a card problem though. if it was id just use my trusty 560 ti but even that isnt working to its full potential. Iv said this from the beginning, but my CPU is always in the my head as the problem because i bought it used. but i keep getting told its probably not the cpu because of how rarely they dont work normally. I wish i never sold my i5 2400 :(

Do you not have any other computer that you can test the 7850? Preferably one which will not bottleneck it, otherwise it'll be a bit of a pointless exercise.

I can emphasise with you in a way, for example, after buying a GTX 295 a while back, I just wanted my 5870 back (despite driver issues) due to the 295 being such a pain when it came to new games (as the card has 2 GPUs so the drivers were a bit glitchy).

Im the only one with a desktop in the house :( the rest of the fam use laptops. although my brother is planning on building a desktop pc ....when? im not sure.

I see. Well if you're really desperate to find out if it's the card, then so long as it's not against the forum's rules and you'd trust me (view my trust record on here, not the highest as I don't sell things very often, but 100% positive), I'd be willing to test the card in my system provided that you'd pay for postage both ways. Don't worry, I wouldn't be offended if you said no... but whilst I have a lot of free time up until the end of this month, I'd be willing to help with this.

Something definitely sounds a bit off, as with an i3 2100 and my 6870 1GB @ 975/1100 running 1080 resolution I was getting very minimum 25 FPS in SR3 on Ultra with 8XAA, and probably average 30 - 45FPS otherwise. That's using the 12.7 beta drivers. Would have thought with a faster processor, 2 extra cores and a faster GPU you would have more FPS than I have above.
