lower ab workout

To be fair Zefan, when someone is a labourer, they can build a decent amount of muscle from moving heavy things about all day long, for months and months, years and years. He's not coming in here asking how to turn in to a mass monster, just help bring out certain lines. Totally doable given the circumstances - it's not as if he's a fat-thin office worker :)

I didn't suggest this isn't the case, I commented on the fact that doing bicep curls is pretty much pointless. Even more so if you're doing a job where you're already able to build that sort of body sans-weights. Please don't put words in my mouth.

:Edit: He's suggesting I got rolled :p

Now now, Molly Menopause :p Let's face it your gif and 5 word reply was hardly indicative of the point you were trying to make now was it? :D Sorry if I misunderstood.

But I can see why biceps would get neglected as a painter/decorator. But I bet he needs a decent leg workout in there too :D

As for me being moody, far from it! People put words in other's mouths all the time to defeat an arguement that wasn't actually there in the first place. I'd rather people didn't. My post didn't say anything other than that I thought the bicep curls were funny and that he might as well not bother. Nothing more nothing less, I didn't force you to read between the lines and argue against a point I wasn't making.

Change your diet a little to slowly take off and keep your body fat level low.
Leg extensions are a great exercise to build the lower abs and pelvic floor muscle.

I seem to have somewhat larger upper abdominals to my lower abdominals and leg extensions are great, if you do them properly.

Dont hanging leg raises target the lower abs?

I'm just going to copy and paste this here.

Myth No. 1: I need exercises to work my 'lower abs' and reduce my pot belly.

First, there is no such thing as 'lower abs.' The six-pack you're going for is actually one long muscle, called the rectus abdominis, that extends from below your chest to your pelvis. To work your abs, you should do exercises to target all four muscles: the rectus abdominis, internal and external obliques and the transverse abdominis.

Second, doing crunches will not help you get a 'six-pack' if you have a layer of fat over your abdominal area. In order the see the muscles, you must reduce your body fat. For more information about this and some great ab exercises, check out Flatten Your Abs.

Also, what you feel when doing hanging leg raises that feels like it's working your 'lower' abdomen, is actually found in & around your hip area and not your abdominals, something to do with the flexors or something.

Sound advice from 'Wes here. The thing is, to reduce your bodyfat to the point you get your six pack out, you'll lose a lot of mass on your arms and chest due to the fat held there. You have to be really LEAN. If that's a trade you don't mind making, go for it.

if you have the strenght its about as safe as doing it anywhere close to the ground.

like how many pullups do you fail apart from when your trying to? you could do a pull up 1000ft off the ground and theres almost 0 risk really
