I'd be pretty confident in the performance of the 1080 and 1080ti. It's the 1070 vs the Vega 56 that everyone is interested in.I am SO tempted to pull the trigger on the MSI Sea Hawk but just need to wait and see the reviews on Vega. Why oh why put these deals no now

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure the performance will be close but so close to release I've got to wait it out and make sure I spend the money in the right direction. I'm looking at either the Vega 64 or 1080

I'm really tempted by that Zotac 1070 but I fly out to Florida at the end of the month and if I bought that I think there'd be a spare seat on the plane haha

Yep, I like those Zotac cards. I don't think it would be a considerable upgrade over my 970. Only thing is that the card is on it's last legs and is being held together by Lego scaffolding1060 mini, then the seat may or may not be vacant

Same. £350 to £400 is still a lot for a cut-down mid-range card, in fairness.

Unfortunately we have a joint account. I got talked into it years ago when we first moved in. Terrible idea, causes arguments every time I talk about getting my own account. So she knows every penny I spend. Literally if I get a Maccies breakfast I will get a text message "hope that Maccies was nice, I had cornflakes"Hehe! I just hope Volta comes this year. I know it is a long shot & with the price of Ethereum going back up it's my only hope of prices of GPUs normalising a bit

The 1070 and 1080 are still £50 too much for what you get. These cards should be starting at £300/400 by now as they are nothing more than mid range GPU's. Also, that's some price jump from 3Gb to 6Gb for the 1060. Seriously, the GPU market needs to get it's **** together with regards to reasonable pricing. No wonder some members on here are jumping back to consoles.
On a side note, when you see Apple still selling dual core laptop's for £1200, these might seem like a bargain to some people...
