lulwut windscreen fail

Well if they fitted it wrong and your car has been damaged from it (which it has and needs a proper carpet wash unless you like the smell of damp forever more) then they need to resolve it.

Call head office. They'll pay.

Like they did here, behold the immaculate freshly painted front end :D

Got my windscreen replaced yesterday.

Got into the car this morning with a splash and the feeling of wet socks.

Bloody thing is leaking in underneath the dash and has soaked the entire drivers side carpet, front and back. :(
Oh man, I've spend most of today drying out my car after it filled up with water over the weekend, I feel your pain... :(

My rear seat covers are now drying out in front of the fire, while the seats themselves are in the garage, I had to take them out the car as they were like a sponge....

Top tip, buy, borrow or steal a dehumidifier....

Put dehumidifier in car, and run an extension lead between the window and roof... Turn on dehumidifier and wait.

I now have over a litre of water in a bucket, and my carpets are now almost bone dry.

may i suggest a roof? :p

Just got the windscreen re-sealed and whatever he done with the carpet, it's now bone dry and no visible damage but will wait till the morning till I get a good look at it.

You people all realise your cars are fitted with dehumidifiers right?

Climate Control settings:
Temp: Hot
A/C: On
Air: From re-cyc. to footwells.

You are assuming they have a/c . . . . :p

And its much better to use electric than leave the engine runnign with the a/c on.

My car already has a roof, it just happens to flood if it's ever parked in the rain pointing downhill! :(

Nice, glad it's sorted.
