If i wasn't on my phone I would dig up the statistics. In Northern Ireland new drivers are restricted for the first year, 45mph max and have to display R plates front and back of car. I wonder if that has any effect on new driver accidents/deaths?

I can't see being restricted to 45 mph being helpful on NSL roads, imagine the number of risky overtakes caused by impatient drivers?
