E39 Model BMW M5, driver age 21/22, small NCB

I wouldnt normally ask about insurance as i am rather well seasoned in searching for silly low quotes myself, but a friend of mine is wishing to insure an M5 he's picked up and we are running into trouble with insurers insisting on an age restriction of 25+

Many thanks, i will try Sky Insure as soon as they open tomorrow who will no doubt prevail with an excellent quote, but it'd be good to get a few other insurers to let Sky try and match/beat.

Many Thanks :)

Will give sky something to try and compete with unless they bring up an excellent quote first time. Cheers for that matey

They absolutely murdered the high street names for me recently.

edit: Edited the name out as I don't want them bombarded by people with Fiestas, they won't cover you so don't waste your time.

got my M5 when i was 25 and 1 month, so didnt realise there was issues with 25+ on it. might have been lucky there

i have been with elephant, budget & bell direct so far. do elephant have the restriction?

Does it signal elitism to believe that most would be 'wasting their time' to even attempt to use your broker, given the nature of their cars?

What?

Given that the majority of posters here drive 'normal' cars, what use is a broker that specialises in performance cars going to be to them?

Sadly it appears so :( All of the above seem to

No, as different insurers target different categories of owner. If they have no interest in offering schemes to Fiestas et al, why waste everyone's time?

There are a lot of people here who drive 'performance' cars, and what makes you think that owners of 'normal' cars are going to use your link? You made it clear who is was for...

Jeez man can you wander back off to GD and SC if you want to stir things up?!

He seems to think that owners of 'normal' Fiestas are going to flood his link, I merely asked if it signalled elitism that he declared this and withdrew it?

Maybe I am mistaking the attitude of people who post in Motors...

Bugger orf back to SC where your ramblings seem to be taken seriously.

It will help him greatly if he has owned fast cars in the past...

Nothing in the m5's league sadly, fastest to date would be a TT225 as far as i recal. He's had an impreza turbo in the past, along with a corrado 2.9, the scoob was only a turbo2000 though so not talking huge performance.

It'll probably help. It'll certainly be taken in to consideration (unless he wrote them all off ;) )

Whats the point in doing that? Who gave you the power to decide whether or not an insurance company will or wont insure someones car? In case you havent noticed, there are some people on this forum who drive performance cars that might be interested in using that company for a competitive quote.
