I think the person who posted it just wanted to make his choice of car seem somehow 'restricted' or elite, and himself also reflected in that glory
I think you look into peoples actions on an internet forum far to much to suggest any kind of healthy life social life if you honestly believe that drivel.

Yea ok, a lot of people invest allot of time into the OcUK forums, but I don't think anyone on here is sad enough to try and develop an Epeen from it with such effort and slyness.

Harsh to be honest. I see no reason at all why Nozzer shouldnt be allowed to remove the information after he sees that it has served it's purpose.

He should have emailed it him, instead of the editing and then the fiesta owner comments, and a ban isnt harse for a personal/abusive comment.

The forum rules are very clear.

Anyone else who breaks this or any other forum rule can expect to lose the use of their account for a while. In Nozzer's case it will be 24 hours which was a lot less than it could have been.

I've been around on these forums for longer than I care to mention, through two nukes and fully understand the rules.

If you look at this thread CBS attacked fox but received no such suspension. The outcome and feeling from the tread was that CBS liked to "Challenge" people but the way it's come across is rather provactive. His posts in this thread seem purely there to stir things up and as such his comments weren't necessary.

Motors has always been one of the more civilised forums on motors but certainly in recent times there has been more uncalled for behaviour.

I'm not sure whether my post will result in my getting suspended but I felt the need to defend in some way Nozzers comments and put into perspective the conduct of CBS in another recent thread, you know the saying, it takes two to tango!

Any to go back on to topic I have no idea about M5 insurance, sorry!

Stop this nonsense now. I've read the other thread and there is no personal attack remotely resembling the 2 in this thread.

Back on topic or the thread gets locked.

My oh my, this has turned into a b***h fest :O

To get the whole thing back on topic - mickey mouse insurers are designed to insure people on sensible cars, not M5's :)

The system see's group 20, it sees date of birth and it dies.

I would imagine getting insurance on an M5 at 21 will be very, very hard.

IMHO this is for good reason - people our age on M5's is asking for trouble :p

I don't quite get the logic though. I can get a reasonable quote on a 2002 540i Sport (appox 1k), yet they refuse to quote on an M5.

Fair enough, there's a large difference in power going from a 540i to an M5, but the quote of 1,000 on the 540 seems surprisingly reasonable and given how high people often get quotes there's a lot of room for another jump in price before they say "no" imho...

Brokers can give you great quotes if you can prove you are capable of driving it without stacking the thing. One of the brokers mentioned above was a bit iffy about insuring me on my current car until I mentioned I'd already been driving it for just under a year.

A few hours later, he gave me a quote which significantly undercut any of the 'high street' insurers I'd already tried. They were also happy to insure mods which the normal insurers wouldn't touch.

It all depends really. I am currently insured via a broker (A-Plan) because they started to focus on high performance cars and when I needed to reinusre my M3 they were much cheaper than Liverpool and Victoria, who had been miles cheaper than anyone the year before. When I wanted to swap to my GT3 the insurance went up at A-Plan and they were no longer the cheapest, but I stayed with them for ease of transition. They said next time they would not put me with that insurer as they are not the best for 911's, but were the best for M3's. Insurance is somewhat of a black art in my experience and it really pays to shop around. Some of the most expensive people I have found are the so called specialists!

It may also interest you that many of the major insurance 'brands' are the same company under the skin. UKI Partnership runs insurance for many of the Banks and major insurers, so underneath it all you are often dealing with a broker in a corporate brand.

I was commenting on Fox's attitudes and actions - I also apologised sincerely on Page 3 and made no more of it... (no-one asked me to apologise BTW)

CBS - this was a serious thread asking for advice on an insurance issue as a friend of mine had got himself into a pickle over owning a new car but being unable to find *ANY* insurance for it.

Please stop dragging it OT, if you wish to argue with Noz then why not do so over IRC or something.

Edit - lol, my post doesnt make a lot of sense now :p

You wouldn't ask that if you'd seen what happened to my last car...

Why would what happened to your last car matter to him, he's the one getting rid ;)
