The MyBook Pro is great, got it connected by Firewire 800 - Very fast :D

Aha, so pretty much what I'm off to buy tomorrow then. :p

What MyBook version is it? I heard someone saying that the MyBook World editions couldn't transfer stuff over 2Gb and were generally pretty poor at that too. :o

Haven't really used the mybook yet, but its the 250GB Pro version.

Nice Mr.Orb (why is the dock so big though ;))

I too will be investing in a MyBook if the reports are good, so do post if you get one WotDa....please.

I need to give the bank balance a chance to recoup. ;)

Kinda handy as it too allows me to peep at reports.

Vader, try sticking it on a few unused kitchen sponges to see if they absorb the vibrations, obviously if it weighs more than I think it does it won't work. :p

I isolated my mybook pro using some sticky bits of foam that came with an old external drive enclosure that I had, works pretty well.

I've been impressed with the mybook pro nice and fast, although I find the storage guage on the front pretty useless.

VaderDSL.. I got some spare acoustic absorption sponge to use if you want it?

Not garaunteed to completely cut out the vibrations but i'm betting it'd be great as you could stick it to the underside of the MyBook and take it with you :)

Finally got off my rear and took the promised photograph of my Mini and setup. Despite it being fairly bright light I couldn't seem to get a half-decent photo out of my phone, so apologies for the dodgy quality :p

On the left there is an Icy Box with a 250GB HDD I had knocking around in, an M-Audio Firewire 410 soundcard and my Mini (1.66Ghz, 1GB RAM) sitting on top of it. In the middle you can see my NEC 20WGX2 monitor. Keyboard and mouse are the Logitech diNovo bluetooth laser set. The mousemat is a customised black Icemat V1. The coffee is machu picchu. The lava lamp was a gift ;)

Incidentally, my desk was usually that clear even when I didn't have the Mac :)

What's the deal with the fan on top of the pc? :)

Also, printer on the floor = it gets kicked and broken tbh. :p

The Fan was taken out of the PC as ive sold the bits. Just basically the case and a P5W Dh Deluxe left for future pc building!

The printer has never been kicked or hit in the month ive had it there, just gotta be careful ;)
