Mac users' elitism

If Macs are so good and Windows PCs are so bad... why do Macs only have a minute share of the market? Funny that.

because PC's are mass produced by many different producers. There are lots of Kia's around compared to Lamborghini's. Doesn't mean the Kia's are better cars than the Lambos though, does it? Also people are very stuck in their ways, especially in the UK. They hate change and shy away from it, regardless of whether or not what they're changing to is better or not.

I think people shy away from style-over-substance and being made to bend over by Steve Jobs and his obscene rip-off prices :)

because usually the first computer that you first use (unless you've got some cash) is always a windows pc, the same if you go to school windows pc's wall to wall, and if you do have macs, you never get to use them! :(

damn music/media people always locking the door...

I really don't think that using Kia and Lamborghini is a fair comparison, people don't have lambos because they cost £100,000. Not because they don't want to change.

Yes I realised that after I posted it :o Pretty bad example tbh. The point I was (badly) trying to make is that just because there are more Kias about and they are cheaper, doesn't make them better to have or drive than the Lambos. :)

I don't think that's the point he's making, more the fact just because there is less of one thing than another, is no indication of how good it is.

Macs are more expensive than PCs, but unlike the Lambo compared to a Kia, there is nothing a Mac can do that a PC can't so the analogy... let's be kind... could have been better :p

Might be more about the fact that Windows machines are ultimately more accessible the world over.

True, but PCs can offer the same level of performance, more flexability and more upgradability for less money ;)

Although most Macs do look very nice (bar the G4 and Toaster Cube :p), I don't think they are worth the extra cost. Also the lack of games would get on my nerves, I would have to use windows so I may as well have a PC.
