Machine dead :(

Until this my IP35 Pro has been amazing - I cant beleive I've had it since 2007. I have never, ever gone so long on the same hardware setup and still found it to be lightning quick, run the latest games etc.

I think the XFi thing is a driver issue so I booted into Safe mode and removed all the drivers, now downloading new ones.

Other than that everything seems ok so far. I cannot for the life of me understand why though, it makes no sense.

Did you put up the ram voltage after CMOS reset. You may need 2.0- 2.2V which may be causing ram problems.

I've had similar issues with this board where it will give an random error like this

Well, if you do get a new motherboard and that wasn't what was at fault... then it's not a great loss. They're about 40 or 50 quid now.

Has been fine since my last post. Even played some games.

Well, that's good news! It means you can replace it as and when you see fit. Hopefully it never fails!

Just like I always say, today has been a good day, I've not gotten a splinter, touch wood.

Well a week on my PC is currently sitting here with 5 days 4 hours 11 minutes of uptime. No problems, no hassle, working fine.

I've still no idea what was wrong - but I'd like to thank you guys for the suggestions anyway :)

Don't worry about what was wrong....It works now! :D

Haven't read the whole thread fox, but my ip35 used to mess about every now and then. It was a case of removing all the ram. Clearing the CMOS powering up with 1 stick in place then shutting down and re-fitting the rest.

Really was an odd board.

Glad to hear you got it working now though. BoMb_Da_BaSs
