Macintosh laptop vs others, why mac?

By the way why do you guys use acer in your arguments? yes they are cheap but both my grannys have them and my freind has one and they all work well.

Personal experience. Two of my Uni friends had Acer laptops... both were badly built, had chronic overheating problems and lasted less than a couple of years.
