Mad Max Game

Loving the game so far, it looks stunning in places and runs like a dream. I found that the vehicular combat can get pretty tough if you just rush your way through without taking the time to unlock upgrades. Only a few little negatives but well worth the very cheap asking price so far. Couple of screenshots below, I'm gonna have to have more of a play around with the capture mode, seems pretty good!

Yeah fun to just drop into 'he exits the game 6/7 hours after he opened it'

Finding the car combat a lot tougher later on, my car seems to blow up after hardly any damage, the enemy patrols of 3 cars all seem to be better than me :/ Got nearly all the upgrades too. I don't feel like the car is the pinnacle of machinery that the story builds it up to be.

30 hours in amazing game... never played a game this much with xbox pad and it works perfect!

need some screenshots of people cars soon :D mines looking pretty mean! does insane dmg and i have all upgrades for max now...

10 hours in and it's starting to grind a bit.

I'm finding all the good stuff is story related or one offs. I like a good fight in game, but rolling up to random scavenging locations to fight 4 enemies isn't a challenge at all; the only challenges seem to be in story missions or camps where you can find a decent number. Ditto for the road combat, outside of missions and convoys (yay, beat it once and that route is cleared) all I ever come across are pairs of vehicles the first of which is usually close to beaten in the first collision.

people playing with keyb and mouse or controller?
Have played with both.
Controller is slightly easier for driving, especially as I don't normally use one anyway.
M&KB is better for everything else and since I don't have a controller of my own, I'm stuck with that. Driving anything that isn't the Magnum Opus kinda sucks and is really slow/crappy on the handling.

Dodgy combat mechanics, driving/car dyanimcs and upgrades which take forever to get for little difference - much truth in any of this?
Combat is perfectly fine and I kick ass at it. It's very Sleeping Dogs, albeit on a more basic level with fewer moves. Each different enemy needs different tactics, but it's all very good fun.
Driving dynamics are perfectly fine - Controller vs M&KB differences as above, but anything beyond that is just personal taste.
Some upgrades are expensive, yes, but you pick up loads of scrap as is so focus on the missions and the scrap builds easily. You also get friendlies moving in to destroyed enemy camps, who then provide you a regular supply of scrap along the way.

I just escaped to main menu and then back in the game. Only had it a couple of times in a few hours.
^ This was my solution.
Kinda annoying that it happens in the first place, though.

I'm also getting a weird glitch where the mouse stops working and then I get the USB disconnect/connect sound.
Anyone had that?

I'm enjoying this a lot. We'll worth it for £12. Chum is a great character too. The loot you get from the sandstorms is insane, but I'm finding it hard to survive them at my low level.
