Madeline dead?

I wouldn't say dead. I'd say that people are going to have to accept that she will never be found, but with an extreemly high chance that she is dead.

People have turned up alive and well years after. Wasn't there a boy who turned up fine who'd been missing for absoloutely ages?

True and they was that case of that girl who turned up after years of being held in a basement. But I think the biggest difference between those cases and this one is the media circus that has happened.

You can't deny that the chances of her kidnapper deciding to kill her because of too much media attention are really high.

As a parent myself, I would have to that I would need closure whatever the outcome of that would be. Not knowing can drive people to the brink of breakdown and beyond.

Lets just hope this letter is bull and she is found safe and soon.

And now a moral question...

Is it better than she remain missing or that we have closure on what happened to her?

If i was the parents then id rather have closure so i could get on with the grieving process.

Personally i dont think they will find her:( as much as id love to see her get found safe and sound. But i guess hope never killed anyone so heres hoping that this is some sort of hoax and that shes still alive.

I just dont understand peoples mentality especially the ones who harm children without any sort of regret or remorse. There are some sick ****ers out there in the world tbh.

If she's never found, the parents can hold on to a hope that she's alive and well *somewhere*

If she's found dead, they'll be distraught, but they'll also be able to move on and get on with their lives without having the torment of her welfare constantly on their minds.

There isn't an answer really, either way has good and bad points.

It wouldnt Suprise me if the Kidnappers were gonna sell her or something and when all this media stuff came up they panicked because they couldnt get rid of her so they killed her.

Media can cause trouble like that if there is too much attension about the case

Definitely better to have closure. It's better to know that she's dead and to find the body rather than never find her. It's not a great choice but it's the lesser of two evils.

But wouldn't you get to the point where you would be deluding yourself, espescially in this case.

Frankly I can only see three outcomes to this.

1) She is dead and her body will be found.
2) She is dead, but she will never be found.
3) She is alive somewhere in a remote part of the world and will never be found.
