I do actually agree with you. We need 7 votes to lynch someone, and one vote isn't going to pressure anyone into action on it's own, so I'll join you and hope he reads this soon:

There's a certain element of confidence there that you're not going to swing on day one! Or be knifed during the night.

Personally, I'd like to see a few more people get involved before I start flinging votes around - but getting the voting off to an early start is certainly one way to get some discussion going! Normnally it's a quick hello and a comment about beards.
 
I'm still not convinced that I know how to play day 1. I can see the reasoning that doing nothing is bad but I'm also not convinced of the benefits of randomly accusing anyone either.

Oh and for the record I have no interest in Dr Who whatsoever, so any clever 'in character' references are going to go right over my head.
 
Woo! I've been voted for lynching based on wanting to watch how the game plays out? Harsh man!

I'm here to watch over the town and make sure everything is safe not murder innocents in their sleep! :(

That's fine, you don't need to know any doctor who references to play this. Just whatever you do, don't blink.

As for not lynching, it is almost always a bad thing for town not to lynch. First, the basis and assumptions for this reasoning: there are 3 mafia, there are no additional roles that can kill players.
We start with 13 players. If a day starts with more mafia than good guys then we lose. With 3 mafia, the soonest this can happen is with 6 remaining. If we lynch on the first day, this will happen on night 4,so basically day 5.if we don't lynch this will also happen on day 5.
However, lynchings are the only way to kill mafia and extend the game. Not lynching means we get to dictate 4 kills and the mafia 4 kills. But if we lynch day 1 they still only get to dictate 4 kills but we get 5 kills, giving us a statistically higher chance to find a mafia player. I can go into greater detail once I'm home, it's hard to type long detailed posts on a phone. Hope this makes sense though.

Iviv, I know you've been moderating the games so far, but I don't think I seen written anywhere your experience playing. I assume you have some, enjoyed it and that is why you brought it to the forums. Is that right?

Indeed. Though we've already established from previous games that I was playing with completely the wrong rules. Plus I could be mafia trying to spread misinformation.

I'm not, though.
