Mail app for Mac

I've just checked and that's interesting. I see there are two versions, one with AI and one without. I'm using the one without and that's described as the 'old' version and it's only on the App Store, the link from their site goes to the App Store.

iPhone App Store is only showing ‘Spark mail + AI’ version for me. Is that the same for every one else or is there a non AI version for iPhone too?

That’s the correct version for the iPhone, you don’t need to use the AI stuff.

After logging into my email account on the PC and making some changes, such as deleting and moving emails, and then logging out and back into the mail app, it seems that the notification bug I was experiencing has been resolved and all emails are syncing perfectly. Fingers crossed!

Running mail app in classic mode too.

I just cannot get Outlook to talk to iCloud for my custom domain no matter what I try. I'm sure Mail will get fixed (not that I'm noticing a huge amount of issues).
You should* be able to by making sure the alias email address has been added to the 'Email & Phone Numbers' section (under 'Sign-In and Security') and then, log into https://account.apple.com with your alias email address and main/primary/default Apple ID password and create an app specific password for Outlook.
Then add the alias iCloud account to Outlook as you would for a 'vanilla' iCloud account.

* I say should as it's been awhile since i've had access to an iCloud+ account and was doing testing for creating some documentation.

Edit - A quick Google threw up this MS post which has users confirming similar.

I moved over to Spark a few days ago, after reading this thread, as the new updates, to the previously perfectly functional version of the Apple email app, were not something I liked. Do companies not have anything other than AI to go to nowadays?

I ended up going back to Apple Mail on iphone just because the amount of times I kept pinning emails instead of deleting them. Still going strong on my Mac though!

Settings / Swipes

I've set them to mark as read/unread on a left short/long swipe and to delete on a right short/long swipe.

Like I was just saying - I was going to get rid of Spark on my iPhone until Feek told me about the swipe settings :D

Got a weird issue with my Mum's email on her phone.

She has a Gmail account which she accesses via the mail app.

More often than not her most active email threads are being mark as trash and being moved in to the trash folder.

I've checked for any filters in the mail app or any filters in Gmail to see if anything could be causing this but I couldn’t see any filters.

Any ideas?
