Mail app for Mac

Have any of you tried 'Spike', web-based AI-enchanced emails. I was hoping that it might recognise and trim some of the insane signatures that end up being repeatedly quoted and displayed by Gmail. Kinda worked by making all my emails into a 'conversation' style view, but didn't allow me to trim signatures or break out emails into different chats.

iOS or macOS?

I've been using Spark for a few months and I've never seen it update. On iOS, updates are done automatically overnight and on macOS I assume it's done automatically via the App Store but I've literally never seen it install an update.

Mac. Literally more often than not I use my laptop, which is not everyday, there's an update. Almost as bad as CCleaner back in the day

*shrug* dunno, I've still never seen an update so I assume the App Store just does it in the background. I've been using it daily on two Macs since late December.

/edit - Yes, it must be doing it silently.

Been using Thunderbird, which seems a bit more polished than it used to be. Mail is OK but has too many odd conventions, like dragging and dropping a file and it just sitting there in your email message right in the middle. Anyway, I'm sure some like it but I'm coming from the PC/Android world.
