major moral dilema....

It stops after 6 months (when he says CUT he means STOPPED not decreases).
Its all computerised and you will get a letter so it doesn't matter how many people are claiming.
On the day I got my letter I had a job offer so I was happy.

I know someone who was on it for a year, he couldnt get a job and ended up volunteering in a charity shop so he was more employable as one of the terms of staying on jobseekers.
The lad was a right goon and has no lifeskills etc though.

Only last year I was told that my volunteering was not helping my cause and that under my Jobseekers agreement I should make more effort to find a proper job.
Their view of being a volunteer is worse than you just being out of work.
I know this for a fact because I now liaise with them in my job.
I don't know one person who has been on Jobseekers more than 6 months.
After 6 months you go to the next level but its not Jobseekers.

fair doos.
Its a **** take if anyone stays on jobseekers for 6months anyway, Iv only been so comfortable on it for the couple of months because I was told I would be starting my job Oct/Nov for definite, so it meant I wasnt too worried about finding a job and could be picky and choosy as I didnt have to support myself much at all.

To be honest so of the crap people come out with on here is unbelievable. Now i don’t agree with what the OP's m8 is doing, but having to go on the dole seems to make you scum around here.

I have never been on it in my live and never will be so i can’t comment what its like to be on it. But in the years to come, many from this forum and many of the ones who call peope on the dole scum will soon find themselves on it as well. I just hope they come on here and post about.
