Make cannabis a Class A Drug, say Conservative Police Commissioners...

Well that’s the other thing, the reason it’s primarily smoked is because it’s illegal. If it were legalised I’d bet a lot of money that quite a number of those currently smoking it would switch to vaping or edibles so reducing the likelihood of the smell being everywhere.
Should also be noted that smoking weed is a very ineffective way to get at the ‘good’ stuff.

Very good point yes. Vaping it is a much better way to go about it. Edibles are ideal for the asthmatics like me too :D

Yea, I’m sure I read a report from Canadian law makers a few years back showing that smoking weed vs vaping was akin an open fire vs log burner. Namely a lot the good stuff just goes up in smoke!

Though, they don't have powers to introduce or change laws, I believe this is the wrong way to deal with this issue. Reclassifying it, to me, would lead the drug becoming more lucrative and exacerbate the issue.
The main problem is, that the weed sold on the street today is more than ten times stronger than what was being sold back when the laws on it were made and no longer properly represent either the harm that it can cause to users or the harm they can inflict on others.

Not exactly, although it is stronger. Back in the 1960s the stuff was hard to get hold of, so people smoked leaf as well as tops - leaf probably even more so. Even back then tops were about 8-10%, but leaves tend to be about 1% (the highest I ever saw in the Nineties to Oughts was 2%). Nowadays the tops are about 15%, occasionally hitting 20%. Numbers higher than that are very suspect, and are often down to sampling technique - it's easy to strip the tops for analysis in such a way as to maximise percentage, while not being an accurate representation of what a smoker would get. So realistically, the stuff is about two to three times as strong considered like-for-like. The bigger numbers come from cherry-picking data to suit a political stance - mainly Sixties leaf versus Twenties tops. Weirdly, it suits both the legalise AND ban-it camps to inflate the figures.

Give it up....oh wait you can't junkies gonna junk.

The only issue is that we went soft on the war on drugs... users shot, dealers shot. Basically anyone connected and gets found out shot. Do crime pay for the time with a bullet in the head. Some judge dread style justice.

Happy new year stoners.

Also like before the financial crisis the testing market is funded by the sellers.

You can pick lab's that will always make very favorable outcomes because they know if they give you a low % you won't be using thier result and you won't be using them again.

Lab techs aren't afraid to scoop up the extra crystals from the container and make sure they make it into the test with the smallest plant matter sample needed

having dabbled with edibles, i dont see no issues with them unless they get into little kids hands or something from the person owning them not being responsible. but wish we wouldmake it legal for people the tax revenue just waiting to be plucked is insane surely ?

don’t you worry yourself sweet cheeks. You’ll already be fertiliser long before any stoners get shot.

My money is on Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

Possibly Narcotic Personality Disorder.

So ya
Thought ya
Might like to go to the show.
To feel the warm thrill of confusion
That space cadet glow.
Tell me is something eluding you, sunshine?
Is this not what you expected to see?
If you wanna find out what's behind these cold eyes
You'll just have to claw your way through this disguise.

Shocked, even WH Smiths are in on it

Ignorance

Strange how many conservatives cry a river over the nanny state interfering in the lives of citizens right up to the point people choose to set a plant on fire and inhale the smoke. At which point they are chomping at the bit to banish teenagers to prison and/or mark them with an indelible stain which inhibits their potential for life.

Even if you dismiss the wealth of evidence which shows the present system of drug prohibition does so much more harm than good, what people smoke is a personal choice. It’s none of anyone else’s business.

Dunno what the craze is all about it's a crap drug anyway from experience. Maybe people use it because it's naughty? If it was made legal I'm sure use would go down.
The US seems obsessed with it for some reason! I certainly don't want 1000mg stars of death to get mistaken for sweets by kids!

Why not decriminalise it so people dont have to go to dealers who will try and upsell them, or sell them stuff full of harmful presticides etc. Plenty of other countries have done research and most had a burst of sales when it was done which fell back to the previous users sticking with it and others growing bored of it.
You can still enforce common sense rules like they do for drinking and smoking.

I fully agree with this, but since when has any government in this country showed any common sense?

Legalise it for over 21's.
Then stick VAT on it.

Because it smells. Nothing smelly can be legal.
