Make cannabis a Class A Drug, say Conservative Police Commissioners...

You don't have to visit anywhere. It's a choice to.

I do if I wish to smoke. But, in a unimaginable alternative reality, if it were legal I'd rather pay a bit extra and get it from a legalised place rather than the way I currently do. But as it stands the shady underworld gets my money and not the tax-man.

I think it's a fairly harmless drug that has become more and more commonplace in society, affecting the users lives more than anyone elses (however much they'd try and disagree on any negative effect at all). BUT, legislation is probably the best way to control it while simultaneously generating tax for the 'normies'.

Not saying I have never done it, but people who are career smokers stand out a mile when stood in a crowd to me. Think it should be a part time habit at most and I am fully against the fact some people need a spliff just to get going in the morning.

But that's still a choice. You could weigh it up and decide because your money is going to scum that you don't spend it.

Or, and you never heard this (shhhh), grow your own.

The naivety and hypocrisy of some of the posters in this thread (I'm pointing fingers of those calling people junkies and saying it should be Class A) is astounding.

I'm sure anyone screaming that rhetoric is some sort of Teetotalist, Vegan, who's never done a single thing wrong in their lives, how can they not be?

What you doing in fields still, this ain't the 90s :D #mailorder

Haha, that's what I meant about onion fields... TorToDoor :p CGMC, you are missed.

I mean I don't really think the people I deal with are scum but at some point in the supply line, it may come into contact with unsavoury types. But what's a man to do? Due to the government treating citizens like idiots who can't think for themselves my options are local dawgs or the joys of onion fields.

Amsterdam, Barcelona and various states in America are all doing exceptionally well and yet life is continuing as normal. I've no idea why (other than wanting to keep their palls at British Sugar raking in the money for medicinal cannabis) we are still living in the dark ages over a plant.

They're just showing their ignorance. It's like that song by The Steets. 'The Irony of it all'

I’m an alcoholic, part time vegan, weed smoker who called junkies junkies.

I've always been for legalization. Like people have said, coke use is rife and that's a class A drug.. what good will it do if cannabis is class A?

Aaaand yet still growing your own doesn't equate to either.

If you grow your own, you will harvest it and prepare it. If you harvest it and prepare it, you will likely have a relatively large quantity of it post harvest.

If you get caught with a kg of it, it's far more likely you will be charged with possession with intent to supply than just possession.

The punishment for intent to supply, which being a producer and/or having large quantities on hand often plays a role in is the same as actually supplying. Up to 14 years.

Yeah but realistically there is a huge difference between say some old guy with arthritis or some other medical conditions who keeps a plant or two in his conservatory vs some rented house with a load of dodgy wiring put in and plants growing in most rooms etc.

This old guy even had 60 plants and a full hydroponics setup but only got a police caution:

Edit: first time was a police caution, then he did it again and got a conditional discharge... and now he's got a legal prescription for it:

Pretty clear they're not treating him as a drug dealer even with a large quantity as it's for his own use. I'd wager that someone with just a plant or two would easily get a caution.

You'll have as much as you've grown. Is it like...your thing to talk rubbish in this thread?
