Make some predictions for the future

Instead, we'll continue to build tools to replace/enhance body parts, which we have been doing since we started making clothes and throwing sticks and stones at each other.

All hail the cyborg overlords!... will they be sexborgs  "cyberborgs"?

With the way things going actual intelligence will cease to be a thing.

I was going to argue against this and claim that the creative and indomitable nature of humanity will always compel us to improve and excel. However, the Candy Crush Saga posts (above) clearly demonstrate your point and have brought home to me the futility of trying to defend such an optimistic position in respect of the future of our species. So now I’m pretty much just waiting for the end.

So you couldn't get past level one I assume :p

Ouch

Sorry Mr Badger sir. I'm sure your shining example of social and cultural distinction will help mitigate the obvious peasantry laid out before you.

2064: I'm still stuck on level 39 of Candy Crush Saga.

In my defense, level 39 is pretty awesome considering I'm multitasking a nagging wife, screaming toddler, and insane puppy, all at the same time :o

I won't be precise with year numbers, but something like this over the next 20 years(ish):

- The tech industry will still be dominated by Apple, Samsung and Microsoft, and Microsoft's acquisition of Nokia will help Nokia to make a comeback.

- CPUs will break the 5GHz barrier for the first time (without overclocking).

- NFC will replace money. Buses using it already with Oyster cards etc, but it will be with NFC credit/debit cards instead.

- You'll carry less plastic cards in general. Sainsbury's Nectar, Tesco Clubcard etc will all be tied in with your main bank card.

- No need for NHS numbers, driver's license number, payroll number, library card, passport number etc - these will all be tied in with your NI number.

- 1984 etc.

- Bionic eyes (for the blind) will continue improving in vision/definition.

- The Samsung Galaxy S27 will be released :p
