No, because the championship based on wins rule has been dropped.

I think your kinda underestimating just how much water is on track. You could see it in a few places probably an inch deep running along like a river.
A normal road car would be struggling, a formula one car just will not get around.

The drivers are more concerned with the fact that it is getting darker by the minute.

Er, seriously? You saw Hamilton, Heidfield, Vettel spinning off on a lap they knew was just to get back to the grid, with no overtaking possible. If there was the pressure of fighting for position we'd just see all of the cars skate off the track.

Rain looks to have stopped, heat there means the track drys very very very fast, so I think we should go for the 3/4 distance, even if its behind safety car. These guys deserve full points for the effort so far!
