Malaysian GP 2009 - Race 2/17

So, the FIA screw with the results well after the race and they're pilloried. This time they sort the results out before the podium ceremony....and they're pilloried.

*sigh*

No, they did what the rules said. Go back to the last full lap before the red flag. So people in the pit lane don't get totally screwed.

The fact we had to sit around and watch absolutely nothing happening on track for ages is a bit grim. If they'd said that there'd definitely be no restart and they just had to get some boffins to work out the results... I'd have got a cup of tea and not paid much attention.
Confusion = annoyance.

Wish people would stop throwing a paddy. They've changed the order before going to the podium, saves post race decisions days after.

Some people just can't be pleased.

I'm not arguing about when the SC is out, my point is that you have to run it as though the SC will release them at some point, ergo allowing for problems at corner 1. The back markers aren't meant to be there, they are slower into the corner and slower out, that is why they are at the back of he grid and imho they shouldn't be allowed to interfere with the top order.

As for the downforce issue, there were 4 or 5 off the track in the last lap, SPA last year was carnage, these cars are just pony in the wet.

But they are meant to be there and have three corners to get out the way. Just like in the race.

The sc rule isn't just for wet though.

I think he was just making a point about certain people on here mate :)

Got ya.

Though I agree - it be nice to understand whats happening - its easy to manage people expectations...

Here we go Mclaren 'looking into it' where Hamilton finished.

It's not the FIA doing the right thing that people are moaning about it's the teams appealing everything and any sniff of it and they'll be into the stewards.
