Malaysian Grand Prix 2015, Kuala Lumpur - Race 2/19

BT and Virgin are skewed comparisons as they aren't the primary carrier and I wouldn't be surprised if they turned it down a bit to try and encourage people to buy HD.

I'm not going to defend Sky too much though, putting the F1 channel into the Sports Pack was cheeky. I'm one of the customers who got it with the HD pack so I can't change my subscription or I'll lose it :(.

The McLaren is an absolute dog. Alonso jumped ship from Ferrari at the wrong time.

He always does. He's always made poor career decisions and I think not going to Red Bull will haunt him forever.

That said, it's all about potential. Yes Ferrari are up there again just as he leaves for McLaren, who are nowhere, but while Ferrari may have caught up with Williams, I still don't see them challenging Mercedes at the front. McLaren will be a slow-burner and it could take a couple of years but they might have more long-term potential to challenge at the front than Ferrari do.

Fancy putting a motorsport channel in a sports pack :p

Nice conspiracy theory dude. Me and Cletus are right behind you on that one.

Well Sky definitely did squeeze the bitrate on some of their SD channels back when they were first pushing HD. There was much discussion on technical forums about the significant quality drop on some SD channels.

It was the shift from the HD pack to the Sports Pack that was cheeky. I actually expected it to be in the Sports pack from day 1 and was pleasantly surprised when I could get it for a tenner.

My big issue is I now can't change my subscription and keep F1 without forking out for the Sports Pack.

What was cheeky was first bundling it with the £10 HD pack to lure people in and deflect some of the criticism of F1 moving to pay-TV, then later rescinding that so you need Sky Sports.

Fact remains that, for someone who doesn't have Sky at all but wants to watch the F1 in HD, you're looking at nearly £50 a month. Total rip-off.
