Having a quick google Australia they did it 6hrs before the start of the race.

So what are you basing your comparison on? BBC1 HD vs Sky F1 SD? Rather unfair is it not? The BBC1 SD feed is just as pants as Sky SD.

So, you're saying that the quality of the broadcast is crap, but you're not actually watching the native broadcast just some downsampled version of it.

Just switched between BBC1, BBC One HD and Sky Sports F1 HD here. BBC1 is dreadful, BBC One HD and SSF1HD are visually on the same level, but BBC One HD sounds like they're broadcasting from the insides of a baked bean tin.

Qualifying is only postponed to tomorrow if it never starts. As they have entered qualifying it now has to be done today or not at all. So if it doesn't restart then the current Q2 times will be the grid.

That's why Hamilton is annoyed about being 8th.

No, it's not. Sky SD has way more compression artefacts than BBC SD. BBC SD is perfectly decent quality where Sky F1 SD is an absolute mess.
