Malaysian Grand Prix 2015, Kuala Lumpur - Race 2/19

There's a massive difference between BAR and Mclaren though.

Is there?

Stupidly optimistic management - check. Unreliable car - check. Half decent driving talent being wasted - check. Metric ****-tonne of money getting spaffed for no good reason - check. Hell, if Alonso had missed many more races after that testing crash then you could even draw a parallel with Zonta crashing in testing and sitting out rounds 3-5 - and there, BAR got a Scandinavian driver in as a temporary replacement (Mika Salo) and McLaren got a Scandinavian driver in as a temporary replacement (KMag).

:)

I think Nico is starting to realise that Hamilton will win the Championship quite easily this year.

I feel the same as when Webber and Vettel battled together in 2010 for the Championship and then Vettel went on to dominate 2011.

Also 7am crew (6am really ) represent :D

Morning.

Espresso in hand. :D Got to bed at 2am/3am this morning so not feeling at my best at the moment.

Johnny Herbert doing the driver interviews on the bus was a great choice. :D

Hamilton is 1/3 odds on to win the Drivers' Championship.

If Rosberg was to have a failure first, then Hamilton would be a ridiculous favourite to win it all.

Best odds for Rosberg is currently 7/2.

Currently track temperature is 64°C

That's a little bit on the warm side.

Track temp only going to increase once the cars start going around, without rain they are all going to have bad tire deg.

I really dislike it when they bang on about tire deg from practice determining number of stops like it's a certainty. Merc have great tire deg and they push harder and faster in practice, it's about finding out what pace the tires can take in practice. After years they still don't get that, there is no point doing say 1:44's, finding no deg... you don't know that you couldn't do 1:42's but have the same tire drop off. You do a stint push hard do calculations and compare to models and previous races back in the garage(and back at HQ) and come up with the best pace target to go for.

Merc pitted later than both Ferrari's in Australia despite running a significantly higher pace.
