Malaysian Grand Prix 2015, Kuala Lumpur - Race 2/19

To be fair, the car dosnt actually look THAT bad, just needs to work on reliability so they can turn the engine up more, i genuinely think when honda gets it all dialed in it will be a front running car especially with alonso as a driver.

Sure the car might handle well, but the Honda engine looks severely down on power. You can see how much difference pure power is making on tracks like this one. They're even down on Renault.

not sure how rosberg is going to pass vettel on tires that will be 10 - 15 laps older atleast, unless they plan another stop or something.

I think they are basically just being nice to him and trying to get him to not give up. He's going to be 10+ seconds behind Vettel after the next pitstop unless he gains what, 10-11 seconds, and at that point as you say, Vettel on fresh tires, Rosberg on slow tires, it will be almost as bad as the performance difference when Vettel passed him on fresh tires before.

Merc had a stupid easy 1-2 here. They didn't have to pit in the safety car but it made no difference, the mistake was trying to randomly gain extra laps from a tire by going slower. We've seen time and time again this doesn't work, everyone who tries it basically fails and in these conditions it was even more certain to fail. If they planned this pace they could add 1-2 laps onto this and the next stint for Hamilton but take 4 laps out of that hard tire stint and gone significantly faster as a result.

Because they're running it massively turned down.
It isn't even in the bull park of race mode yet.

Stewards on the ball there. First time in ages that they've got it done so fast.

Perez gets a 10 second penalty for causing that collision.

And a 10 second penalty for Hulkenberg for his collision.

Vettel will pit first and get the new tyre advantage, lewis will then need to overtake a car which is much faster down the straights, to even have a few laps to do that he needs 1.5s a lap.

He will pit for hards, Hamilton will pit for mediums.
Hamilton will be on faster and fresher tyres.

Massively harsh penalty for Hulk.

It really wasn't, if you look at the line Hulk was on when he hit Kvyat it was terrible driving. He was partially off the track, when he hit him, he was cutting the corner and made contact, it was ridiculous. He'd completely lost that and had no right to go off track then catch another car. Perez should also get a penalty though.

At this point they seem to have turned it up a fair amount because they realise the car is killing itself at any speed.

No, they have a new map this weekend which has helped massively and they've turned it up a bit. It is still nowhere near full power. They want the race distance for data.
