Man bags

Just back from town with my new "manbag"(All Saints) and I saw this thread. :p

I've been needing a new messenger bag for a while now, I couldn't seem to find one that wasn't too small(gay) and that wasn't huge. Found one just the right size, just a little smaller than my old one. It fits all I need, from my magazines/books to notepads etc. Only problem is, my macbook doesn't fit in the new one. :o

I think people are actually mistaking manbags for messenger bags.

This, is a manbag:

Man Bags = Gay

Yesterday I was carrying 2 phones, wallet, keys, ipod and a pen all fine in pockets. If I need to carry anything larger (ie laptop, camera) then its a messenger bag or rucksack not a damm man bag!

And just so we are clear these are whats considered to be a Man Bag:-

Oh yes all very manly :p

I personally don't really have the need for a bag, I fit my wallet/keys/mobile/tissues (I have allergies...) in the pockets of my jeans/jacket.

I use a rucksack to go to work to carry lunch/shoes etc, dont really see the need for a manbag.

actually Mr Moviestar.....

www.reference.com said:
Manbags (a portmanteau of 'man' and 'handbags') are fashionable bags for men. Though the traditional briefcase is technically a manbag, in the current sense of the term, manbags refer to messenger bags and reporter bags. Popular brands include MAN-n-BAG, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Tumi, Gucci, and Balenciaga. They are sometimes called a "murse" (a portmaneau of man and purse).

I give you Joey's 'manbag' -

which I believe started all the fuss :)

Satchels and real manbags are DIFFERENT....Ronaldo above has a manbag but the others posted are satchels people carry with them. Surely? :)

In my bag at all times...

iPod
Phone
Wallet
Random bits of paper
Keys

Let's get one thing straight. The only 'men' that carry enough stuff around with them to require a bag are homosexuals. Heterosexual men only need a wallet, keys and a few quid in change.
Homosexuals think they need to carry their paraphernalia and wear a fag bag to do so. Women are allowed to carry bags as they need them. Men do not.

Stop being such a big bunch of Nancys you lot.

Damn, didn't realise I was homosexual.

Better rethink my life.

:(

Let's subtly re-do the question "What is right with man-bags"? Pretty much everything I ever need to carry can either go in my pockets for day to day stuff or I use a rucksack, no excuse for those abortions of luggage.

Same, Wallet In Pocket + Keys, Phone Etc In Jacket... If I Have Something Heavy, Backpack.. Man Bag FTL!
