Thats not actually what would be considered scientific proof in any sense of the word. That is measuring the short term effects of sexist humour on people that are acknowledged to be sexist already.

Men and women have different priorities and I would assign different values to different activities that are traditionally male or female dominated. Women are the same.

Men and women are not the same and yet we seem enamoured with the idea that we should be treated identically.

Got loads of women here, that's why we have a big kitchen :) Even got one of those bells so I can ring it for more beer, whistling felt a bit rude after a while.

I don't let them wash the car though, can't trust a woman with anything like that!

Women should be treated exactly the same as men in all respects where by physical gender makes no difference. Individuals should be treated on their own merits irrespective of gender, race or sexuality.

Nobody's saying anything other than that. If I tell a racist joke, I'm not necessarily a racist. If I tell a sexist joke, I'm not necessarily saying women are lesser beings.

If someone genuinely thinks 'God given' physical characteristics are in any way a method to judge someone, then that person is an ignorant fool, simple as. You seem to be putting those who enjoy a bit of banter at others' expense in the same group as these bigots.
 
Why is this a sexism thread? Thought it was to give OP gratz for changing a lightbulb :confused:

If there's a big DIY project to do then just get someone in to do it because if they screw it up you can sue them. You can't really sue yourself for being ****e at DIY :p

To add to the sexism row that rages on in here- I'd actually really like it if my gf or wife was able to fix things round the house and there would be no minus man points or plus man points for anything that either person could reasonably do. She would be banned from the kitchen too as everyone knows the kitchen is a man's place :)


Also- gratz to the OP for changing lightbulbs.

Because I doubt I'll find someone who is better in the kitchen and it's a way of doing something nice :) But then again, it is my kitchen until someone actually moves in and wants to reciprocate :cool:

Haven't said that :) I'm yet to meet someone who is a fantastic cook so I prefer to do the cooking. Also, it's nice to be cooked for and it's one of the things I like to do for people and also like being cooked for too but I think it's a bit odd if someone who doesn't live with you cooks with you in your kitchen...

But basically I think live and let live. Being a househusband would be pretty awesome in my view though :)
