Man vs Food

Its pulled pork that I'd really like to try. Its been featured on a number of episodes, usually on sandwhiches or burgers and it looks amazing.

Waitrose do a joint seasoned and ready to cook as a 'pulled pork' roast. I have had it a few times and it is very good. But nowhere near as good as the pulled pork I had at Todd's in Oakhurst: http://toddsbbq.com/

Waitrose have also launched a new BBQ range too with Beef Brisket in there, have got one for the weekend so will report back. Had their Sticky Ribs in Vodka/Molasses sauce the other week and wasn't keen on the sauce. They now have a Memphis style dry rubbed rib rack in the range so they will be getting eaten too!

I love this show, perhaps too much. Pulled pork is something that I'd like to try as well. I worry if I lived in the US I would be a monster of a man.

Well, just had the Waitrose BBQ brisket. The meat was tender and juicy but I couldn't get past the fact that the taste reminded me of tinned hot dogs.

Won't be buying that again...

Slow cooker pulled pork is really easy to cook, the only difficult thing is keeping the pork juicy.

Has any noticed how he's getting fatter with every series?... perhaps he's found that elusive meal between brunch and lunch.

Apparently he works out A LOT when he is filming a series and doesn't eat on the day of a 'challenge'. Still, he could do with losing a bit of weight for sure.

I reckon you can actually see him getting fatter as each season moves on. Then, when the next one begins he's lost a chunk of it. Rinse and repeat.

Can't be good for him!

If you like this make sure you check out Diners Drive Ins and Dives! It comes on Food Network in the evenings at 10pm, its on right now :D (sky 262)

But when is it going to be shown?

I still can't find a uk start date.

But there has been adverts on good food channel stating new series for summer and man vs food is on there. I shall assume it must be for the new series and nit just the repeats they are going through ATM.

Just watched an episode on Good Food, was another of the majorly spicy challenges rather than a sheer size/amount of food challenge - quite a good episode. But what on earth is with the ridiculous "press conference" thing at the end? Just embarrassing! :S

Surely you can tell its just for fun?

Really want to go to America for some food.

I had a dream last night which was based on Man V Food. Basically me and some friends were on holiday in the states and had gone to the resteraunt that sells the Four Horseman burger. I took the challange and managed to eat the burger, though I remember in the dream I had to go and puke it up again after the 5 minute wait period. I dont recall much after that.

Of course I know the dream could never become reality. I could never even attempt to eat something that spicy. It would probably make me seriously ill :(

I wanted to try pulled pork as well, however I'm a little put off after seeing an episode of monster inside me where someone was infected with a parasite from eating pulled pork that wasn't cooked properly. Don't know why its put me off trying it, I love my food an all :(

The ones that appeal to me are the ones where he goes to these amazing seafood places, with the clam chowder and the lobster, king crabs... *drool*. Would love to go somewhere like that.

Just watched one where he was at a place called the Crab Shack/Crab Hut or something, in Washington. Looked amazing - they just tip all the seafood onto the middle of the table for you to eat with your hands :D
