Man vs Food

The programme is seriously drool worthy.

The most amazing thing I saw on it was when he brought Joey Chestnut in to eat a mega burrito. This thing was massive and he destroyed it in under 3 minutes

Joey Chestnut isn't even fat. Amazing how he can do it. I find being able to eat like that quite impressive. It goes way beyond greedy. It's a feat in itself.

Yeah it was crazy how fast he was able to eat that burrito. He didnt even look like he was suffering for it afterwards. I would probably need like 3 hours to eat something that big

Found a reverse engineered recipe for the habanero fritters, so want to give this a try.

1 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1 tbsp. melted butter
1/4 c. sugar
2 tbsps. ground black pepper
1/4c Garlic powder
1 Tbs cumin
1 onion
30 fresh habaneros 5lbs
2 cups mozzarella
1/2 cup cheddar

Should make 15 ice cream scoops.

Can't find the habanero salsa though, which contains another 30 chilies.

I just need to find fresh Habaneros somewhere!

I reckon Blair's Habanero salsa should do the trick as a decent substitute.

This show is just crazy. some of the things that he eats are just crazy. i do like watching him trying to eat the crazily spicy things.

i would love to go to some of these restaurants to try some of them. but think it might scar my mouth for life

Nope 10lbs per batch, but I don't know how much a batch does.

People seem to think 2 chilies per fritter and you do 5 fritters in the challenge and same quantity in the sauce, so roughly 10 chilies in that as well.
