Managing to get a 7300 GT with DDR 3!!!!

It cant really touch the XT other than in Artificial benchmarks like 3d mark 05,06 which the GT in SLi will beat an x1800xt!

I hope its the DDR3 version too this time but the product is labelled that! Im just more hopeful that the thing actually gets dispatched as I dont trust this site one bit haha :P

Come on Gibbo get the 7300GT with 256MB DDR 3 Ram in now :P you know it makes sence!
 
i am concerned about playing games full speed on a widescreen display, i jusat dont feel this card would be good enough for that, but ill wait untill jrodga2k5 gets his and some decent benchmarks berfore i pass final judgement
 
OK i dont have a great display (viewsonic 17) but im now running BF2 fantastically well - compared to 6600gt.

My only trouble now is that the drivers im using are the latest beta ones and i dont think im running in sli mode at present, there is no nvidia option inthe panel (there was using official driver!)

So mad crack toting ganstAr graphics card - that good im probably running just one and its sublime...

Just ordered vf900's for them - they better fit !
 
Thanks for the positive comments guys, assume at least some were aimed my way :p mine is a bog standard card, no volt mods only "upgrade" was the addition of a Zalman VF700-Cu gfx cooler which keeps temps to around 50c on load (this is in a SFF case too). I have to say i am quite gobsmacked by the way it performs (it was an upgrade for an 800gto dave2k2005 so you could do a lot worse mate :D ) As for gaming well i do have CSS on this pc and @ 1280x1024 with all the detail on high and AA set to x2 and AF set to x4 it gets a respectable 73fps in the video stress test, not blisteringly fast but reasonable.
 
Jrodga, I may order the card from the same store as you first ordered from ;) Because 2 of the reviews there said that it came with GDDR3 RAM, so I think its just a risk. Can't you ask for an upgrade, because the other site you ordered from has a much high price increase, but I'm unsure wether I'd get the DDR3 version :(

At the end of the order code or serial code . By having this you are almost guaranteed to get the crack smoking gt whooping small guy!

This card is the Joe Pesci character of the gpu world - except 'not a lot of people know that' ! Like my dual character tie-in analogy there.

I managed to find a 7300GT although out of stock and its last 4 digits was G4F3 not G5F3, and one of the people that reviewed it said it was the DDR3 card.

Dont risk it man, i did turned out to be DDR2 :( anyways IM keeping this card for the moment while I wait on the DDR3 coming then il sell the DDR2 one on the bay as new ;)
Plus it runs Bfme2 on Ultra so thats fine for me the now so i can keep playign my clanwars games :P

I have two coming on thursday from two different places lol! :D

Il pick myself up a decent SLi board over the course of the week for the SLi Benchies! :D
 
7300gt SLI baby !

x2 4400 stock, 2gig ram

I have just completed my first run on 3d mark 05......

I left most background programs running, usual windows boot etc and just so you guys get an idea i managed to get:-

Just looked at some of those rankings, and i have beat people with x2's running at 2.6-2.8 with 2 gig ram - USING 7900GTXs

I imagine this will get lots of posts saying ive fixed it etc, honest truth in my score there chaps. All i can say is very impressed so far

P.S mod wise the black 7600pcb it uses matches my xfi so my case looks very even from a design point of view - tidy.
 
a 7900gtx at stock is far faster than that, dont you worry. my single x800gto'2 grabbed me 6,863. Your sli score is lower than i was hoping:( and can you post a link please? cheers

also the 7900gtx's score ~10k at stock, properly configured. what your looking at are either runs with heave aa/af use, or else there's something wrong with their pcs.

I have to say i was really hoping for much more from the sli 7300gt's

That score looks pretty good to me. Certainly pound for pound the best way to score in the 3dmarks by my reckoning. And if clocks posted by realscot are even remotely possible, I think we've got a new Feather-weight Champion on our hands.
