Dammit I want one of these so badly.

My dad's old A3 1.9TDI has the same engine (130bhp) as the VRS and it went like stink so I know how fast they are.

A guy has one about 3 doors down in metallic black and it is so nice

Excellent interior as well.

EDIT: Just thought I would add that I can remember reading Auto car a while back and they had a review of the Fabia stating that from 50-70 in 4th the fabia is quicker than a BMW 330CI (5.9s compared to 6.4). Not bad for a 12k diesel.

Oh well for now my A2 1.4 TDI (75) is fast enough for me

I'm a bit of a diesel fan myself, but lets be honest here. You can't compare a 130ps Fabia TDi to a 330ci. Plus, you're only giving the petrolheads bait by pretending that every common rail diesel is some sort of supercar slayer. We know that the Skoda is a good car. It's got a fair level of punch given its price tag and design brief, but lets not promote it above its station.

EH? all I was merely stating (from the autocar review) that in 4th the fabias is faster than a 330CI from 50-70 which is right giving diesels are quicker in the midrange.

Overall of course the bmw is faster.
