Marmite XO

They've got it in my local Sainsburys but I can't justify the price over normal Marmite. The fact that I absolutely hate the taste of Vegemite, Bovril and own brand yeast extract worries me that £4 might be a jar of Marmite that I don't like :(

I had a normal jar a month or 2 back. And they must have put this in it.

It was darker (almost black). And was so strong I used a quarter of what I normally use.

One good thing it lasted a lot longer. lol

I just noticed the protein in a Marmite cerial bar is quite high. Good snack following a run.

I was given one free in Bristol train station. Couldn't quite stomach it, I like the crisps though and don't mind the spread.

I'm really tempted to buy a jar just for curiosity's sakes. But damn, £5 is too much for yeast extract. :(

It's £4 in Tesco, which is only £1.75 more than a normal jar but it's so much better.

Interestingly, Marmite Guinness is on a famous auction website for £16 a jar!

Oh I'm so on that Union Jack tee.

Didn't see the big deal on XO though. Didn't strike me as worth the slightly extra strength taste.

I was always a bit so-so with normal Marmite, but the XO stuff is a lot nicer.

Tastes smoother than the regular one and is almost a cross of Marmite / Bovril

I have to stop myself buying these or I'll end up the size of a house!........

How people can eat Marmite is beyond me, it's bloody awful stuff!

Back in the days of yore I bought a jar because I thought it was chocolate spread, i'll regret that decision for as long as I live.

I haven't had a single trust message asking what my address is. How are you guys going to send me my birthday tshirt without it?

(Currently having some Marmite XO on toast. Yum yum!)
