Omega-Level Buffs

Omega is the 24th and final number in the Greek alphabet. The ultimate letter.
To embrace the power of Omega, a very special server buff is in effect during Operation Omega.

  • The event begins with a 24% boost to Experience, Rare Item Find and Special Item Find.
  • As each day of Operation Omega the buff grows by another 24% for all three bonuses.
  • This will grow the server-side bonuses each day to 48%, 72%, 96%, 120%, 144%, 168% and 192%.
  • These are multiplicative server-side bonuses and compliment bonuses from items, synergies, etc.

Other Omega-Level Features


  • Certain enemies throughout that game can appear with an Omega-Level Threat designation that increases their difficulty by 24% and loot by 240%.
  • During Operation Omega, the first time you complete a Shared Quest each day will reward double Omega Orb rewards.
  • Omega leveling is 24% faster during Operation Omega. This works well with the Omega-Level buffs to experience.
  • Agent Coulson offers a new mission during Operation Omega week. Each day, you can complete five or more waves in the S.H.I.E.L.D. Holo-Sim to receive a reward from him. This will help hone your skills to be prepared for Omega-Level threats.

Looks good, and I sense a power leveling weekend coming on, finish off Iron man to 60, then pick a couple of the level 40-50 characters to at least finish off to synergy level, waaaay too many characters that only have their first synergy unlocked.

It is the 'definition' of free to play, you never have to spend a penny and you get full access to all the content. The developers are second to none, they care about the game and community and ask for feedback and suggestions going forward.

You earn splinters whilst you play that you can use to purchase hero's or use them for other goodies. There is no pay to win, there's nothing too win.

Play it, pick a free hero and enjoy :)

They gave everyone 30 Omega Files, so nobody has missed out - though the people who completed it before he bugged got extra rewards.

A reminder to all that there is a 24% stacking server side buff this week, so save your XP boosts until Thursday when they'll be worth almost twice their normal value.

If I finish off Invisimom tonight I'll have everyone at 60; I might celebrate on Thursday by seeing how fast I can prestige Rocket. At 400%, if you do Holosim 1-20 then nothing but red terminal LQs you can apparently hit the cap in around two hours. Between synergy and server side I should be at just over that.
 
Well Rogue sounds pretty cool, you have her normal skills then you can make your own build by stealing other heroes OR stealing villains skills :eek: this also includes any passives you want! This can be done in the hub whilst standing next to other heroes.

A bit more clarification on Rogue:

She has two trees of power theft, one from enemies and one from friends. Once you use one of her Steal From powers it is replaced by the appropriate power from the target. This replacement is permanent and persists between sessions, but you can right click the power in the tree to empty the slot. Her third tree is a set of Ms Marvel's physical powers.

Skills have been categorised and you can't have more than three from any one type - three Passive, three Area and so on. The skill you get from each character is fixed, so Cyclops will always give Ricochet Blast, Luke will always give Dempsey Roll and so on.

Her signature is a giant AOE combo. Her ultimate transforms her into a hybrid of Wolverine, Angel, Psylocke, Nightcrawler and Colossus and lets her spam the signatures of the four characters currently in the game on a rotation.

Rogue is a three-way hybrid, so start praying for Omega Drive and Mask of Xorn with good rolls.
 
So what characters are good? Is there a tier list?

Are things like the Spiderman Symbiot skin, the hulk skin (old man hulk?) and Wolverine Origins still rare skins that you could only have got if you pre ordered the epic version which gave you everything?

That thread has links to all the costumes. Sadly, the Spiderman Symbiote costume was an Ultimate pack exclusive and they say will never be released.

Which characters are good? it's all too subjective really and depends on what the player likes. Are there any specific heroes you like in the Marvel Universe ?

Thanks for that, I pre ordered the Ultimate Pack and it's cool they didn't release this skin although there is one which looks very similar to it, it just doesn't have the symbiote animations.

I must admit I like most of them, my highest characters I had were Thor, Loki and Spidormon. I rather like solo play mainly, I want to be able to kill bosses and get the loot without needing to rely on people.

Thor was possibly my favorite char but when I played he fell off hard at around level 30.

It's hard to pick a fave character, I started to prestige Spiderman and Silver Surfer but still have all the others to get to 60 but I'm in no rush. Black Widow, Iron-Man and Dr Strange are pretty cool and I'm just praying they don't ruin Jean Grey in the review next week.

Got over 500hrs played and still don't know everything about the game :p !!
 
Don't see how they can ruin Jean Grey with a review tbh. I know they'll likely do something bigger but literally all they have to do is buff telekinetic damage levels to equal phoenix powers so having a choice in play style isn't gimped vs not gimped and it'll be fine.

Still worried about Rogue though, strikes me that that's a toon that's going to be an endless game of whack-a-mole with the devs where certain combinations are too much, get nerfed, new optimal combo is found etc.
 
It would seem Rogues release and Jean Greys 52 review will not be going live today. A plethora of bugs and issue's seem to be the problem and a bit more testing needs doing.

Here's the current plan:

  • Get more testing on Rogue and Jean. They are coming close, but I think they both deserve another couple of days of testing, tuning and iteration.
  • Have the patch that launches Rogue and Jean 52 next week.
  • Move up the launch of Currency tab to go alongside it, since it's working well and doesn't need to wait until Nova.
  • Move up the launch of Cybernetics, since it's working well and can be done for next week.
  • Do some final testing of Bronx Zoo next week for launch the week after.
  • Same with Red Raids.
  • Launch unified, account-wide waypoints with the patch. (They seem to be working well)
  • Launch Cosmic Chaos tomorrow or extend Midtown Madness (both are very good, TBD which one)
I'll let you know final decision tomorrow once I check out tonight's patch.

Account-wide waypoints is a relief. I'm sick of having to swap back and forth from Punisher to whoever I'm playing when I want to do a skill point quest or buy a legendary, because Punisher is the only character who has every waypoint at every difficulty.
 
I'm looking forward to the currency tab, as it seems they introduce a new currency every week. I'm fed up of it all cluttering my stash because it might come back at some point in the future, especially with the new recurring event weeks.
 
Rogue is now up on the TC. That means she should be included in the Friday patch.

Also don't buy or use Doopenheim portals this week - Worldstone drops are busted, as are Doop rune drops. We should be getting a free Doop rune for logging in each day this week, as soon as Gaz implement a Gifted Doop rune that can't be traded.
