US: Marvels Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (US timeline) *spoilers*

My double agent theory.
There is no way that Coulson wouldn't have been consulted before killing Pullman. He would also never have gone ahead with that.
It appears the guards were shot in the head, but I think with that gun Fitz and Simmons made, the one that makes people pass out. Same with the lady in charge, who was also in on it.

Grant is now a double agent trying to infiltrate Hydra, via Pullman.
Start of next episode they will make their escape from the plane and we will then see the dead people being revived.

I initially thought that too, but then saw the damage the gun did to that guys head, unless that was an cgi effect continuity error.

The only Marvel film I didn't see on week of release and the only one to have plot twists spoiled by the new TV series! Completely forgot when I started watching and even read something last week about how it would be a heavy focus in SHIELD and thought best not watch that till after I see Cap 2. Damnit. Good ep though :p

Amazing really we have all been saying from day one less attempts at witty interaction between characters like they are all in a New York coffee shop and more focus on story and drama and what do you know the show has improved dramatically!

Lets hope they can keep it up to the end of the season.

Gotta admit I was expecting Hand to end up being their weak ass version of Madame Hydra, I didn't see that one coming, I was still suspecting her until the very last second, even when she started talking to Ward at the end I was sure that was when she'd cap him and release Garrett then..... well damn.

possible, but
what was that thing with his eyes at the end

Rewatced it.
There's a scene where Coulson watches Grant walk away with the prisoners, and he turns around and looks at him, with a nod.

I can't see anything with his eye, so not sure that significant, but there is definitely blood on the man who gets shot in the head, and having looked at the night night gun, it's different in shape.
Quite possibly they just choose to shoot the two men as they were Hydra, however I don't think Agent Grant is part of them.
Maybe wrong, we shall see.,

I'm conflicted about the double agent theory. As others have said, the blood on the agents and Hand loks like kill shots. On the other hand, why would Grant have sabotaged the syestem with Sky when that went against (and foiled) Hydra's plans at The Hub?
Also, the preview of next week suggests he really has gone dark side.

Only time will tell. Damn good episode though. I am soooo pleased that I watched Cap2 this weekend. AoS literally gave away all the major plot points.

I hope he is a Hydra agent as making him the new antagonist in the series would be a great move.

Not necessarily as you could argue that of they are going to do it in theory then in theory they are going to do it properly.

Unless he's shot them with bleeding bullets it's unlikely (Given you know, he was bleeding from his head, from the headshot)

Or he's gone "proper" and actually killed them :p

My theory...
Oh they are dead, at least I thought there was a small clip of blood pooling from Hand near her hair. I think he has one of those eye implants. If Paxton is the clairvoyant he has access to that tech and could have implanted Ward a long time ago
