Annoying thing about Simmons is she's from Sheffield. But the American producers make her speak like that because that's what the US public expects an English person to sound like.
The episode I just watched that British SAS guy was handcuffed to a adamantium-vibranium alloy sink waste pipe and Shield apparently stuck thimbles over that chicks razor fingers (that can cut through steel batons) rather than just unbolt them lol. I know it's not exactly supposed to be believable, but come on!
Still loving it though. Only found out about it last week and am already on the last ep. It's the kind of show I like to watch a few eps at a time, so I guess I'll have to put it on hiatus for a while .
She's always looked a little odd to me. Hot, but odd.
No organisation in the comics universe that goes by that name but, though there are a number of things the "real SHIELD" could be slotting in for:
(Comic books spoilers that might mean nothing to the series ahead)
There was a storyline where after Nick Fury was publicly disgraced Maria Hill became Director of Shield for a while and after she failed spectacularly gave the role to Tony Stark (could fit given MCU Maria Hill already works for Stark)
It could be HAMMER (basically SHIELD rebranded under Norman Osbourne, unlikely to be Osbourne here of course but Edward James Olmos' character could be filling that roll)
There was also a storyline where Fury ran his own off the books team lead by Daisy Johnson aka Quake apparently now aka Skye in the face of massive Hydra corruption in SHIELD that ran around this time, there's certainly elements of this in Coulson's team.
STRIKE (but If I remember right they used this name for Rumlow's team in the winter Soldier)
SWORD (though their domain in the comics is soley space based threats).
Baring in mind that they haven't really done direct adapations of any particular storyline in the MCU so far I'm expecting it to be elements of the first 3 myself.
It could also be that 'real S.H.I.E.L.D.' is the real S.H.I.E.L.D. There's a popular theory that Coulson's team are (or will become)
The Secret Avengers. I expect that'll turn out to be the case too, based on the last episode. They're already hinting at Civil War, with 'real S.H.I.E.L.D.' wanting to control Skye and any others like her, while Coulson is likely to be resolutely against the idea of using a heavy hand (or a mailed fist). I could see them maybe splintering off from this new S.H.I.E.L.D. and forming their own (covert) team which may or may not feature in the new Captain America movie.
I feel like i've missed an episode somewhere, especially with the whole SHIELD and real SHIELD separation. Bobbi went under that mind hump thing to 'comply' for Hydra at one point and i don't remember seeing that storyline resolved.

Really? I could swear i can remember her going through Whitehall's mind wash thing. As i said, i feel i've missed an episode, perhaps i've missed some scenes in some too. I get distracted sometimes.

I can't be the only one who had dirty thoughts about Skye being alone in Bruce Banner's retreat with nothing but a vibrating thumb for entertainment, can I?
