Mass Effect 2 Review

Bad idea using those sites like Littlewoods, Marshallward and Very. Check HUKD and you will see the amount of issues people have with them. They often come back 6months+ down the line trying to get money back off you from offer codes.

It may happen and it may not. One of those things that you don't know until it does. Tbh I'd buy it else where.

I hope with the new Cerberus armour you can change/remove the helmet. I never really used the blood dragon armour as I like to at least see some of my character's face during dialogue when off the Normandy.

Yeah, same.
I got the Inferno armor, only reason I pre-ordered it from Amazon.
Then never used it when I realized you can't remove the helmet, which is especially stupid when Sheppard has a drink and just smacks himself in the face with it!

Infact, I wish I'd gone for the Terminus armor now just to get that extra gun.

I completed the game last night, excellent game!

I had all the ship upgrades and all the weapons upgrades I could find - I ran out of money so I couldn't afford all the upgrades sold in the shops. But even so I had so many resources left - I think I over-mined in my game. When I play through again I'm just going to mine "Rich" planets.

I think I'll be an evil crazy biotic character this time.

just finished my first play through after 60 hours and my team is still intact.

strange feeling though... even though I've spent the above time on the game it actually feels like it was very short.

Well i thought id share this since i didnt know untill today! No female on female fun in this apprantly was removed for what ever crap reason they gave :P

So turns out it was a waste of time tryin to sex up teh miranda >.<

On my second playthrough now and I'm just wondering do I have to have all my crew members loyal to be able to save them all?

Not to far in yet, enjoying it as a game, but it feels a lot less RPG than the first one. For example instead of going down to a planet and exploring you land, run a linear path and get a mission complete screen. Or when exploring a city, you fast travel to an area, but its just a room and the rest is just for show...

Jcb33.

Come on, it's still a massive improvement over the first one.

The Mako planet landing sections in the first game were very boring.
You drove around to find little trinkets or metals.
Then you went to some kind of 'base' or 'building' that had the exact same small layout on every single planet.

The only missions I can remember that had any differences were the one where you go to a rescue beacon and the Thresher Maw comes out and the fact that some of the open outdoors combat gives a bit more point to being a sniper.

:mad::(

I don't mind Trisha Helfer telling me to "probe away", although the context in my head is very different to that of the game :p

Just one OT question. I'm playing the first ME at the moment, about 10 hours in - how far through do you think I am?

I've recently destroyed a mind controlling plant thing.

Fantastic game though.

It depends on the order you do those missions.

The planet your on is Feros, there's also Virmire and Novaria which are similar length. Depending on the side quests etc. You're about 1/4 through.

i love the advert on the Citadel for Hamlet being read by the Encore(sp), that had me in stitches for a bit was awsome.

with great enthusiasm: yeah that was class! i was also in stitches. that whole race is awesome.

knowledgeably: it's elcor, btw. :)

with further enthusiasm: what made it funnier is that in mass effect 1 in the c-sec lift the news reported that they were planning on doing an all-elcor cast version of hamlet. and now, here it is!

Just completed the game, took me 24 hours and that included doing every side mission i could find.

Before i discovered Mass Effect, Zelda Ocarina of Time was my favourite game of all time and nothing ever came close to it, till now.

Thank you Bioware for making two outstanding games, and actually gaining my interest in an RPG again.

Though the 3rd is most likely 3 or so years away, I throughly look forward to it and I hope if Mass Effect ever goes to Hollywood that it is done justice.

I finished this last night after forty hours of gameplay (I'm think I spent a bit too long on planet scanning :D) and what an achievement this game is. Great plot, some of the best voice-acting in a game and a really good evolution of the first game.
I've absolutely adored it from start to finish and I'm intending to start all over again when I get home with my renegade ME1 character!

Bioware really are the Pixar of the videogame world - they do not make anything but excellent games. And well done to EA for stumping up the cash and just letting Bioware get on with what they do best.
