*** Mass Effect 3 ***

This.

For such a big title that's meant to close out a triology, some of the glitches / poor animations / design decisions are quite poor imho. Takes a bit away from the experience.

I'm convinced ME3 has suffered due to Bioware's commitment to the Star Wars MMO.

Still good fun though, but probably not quite as AAA as it should be.

Can't be, it's a 10/10 PERFECT game :o

Well i've purchased Mass Effect 3

However i'll be damned if i purchase the DLC and be screwed in the arse by EA, so another means was needed :p

Anyone with a Nvidia card care to try this out? :

1- Disable the ingame AA, it's post proccess AA that blur textures (aka weaker image) but helps redues jaggies but does not eliminate them

2-Use the settings below in Nvidia inspector, it will blow you away if you have never used it before, what it will do is completely remove any jaggies + enhance the image quality

Open nVidia Inspector, and click mass effect 3 profile (it should be already there)

Enter the following settings in Nvidia inspector

Antialiasing Compatibility = 0x080100C5 (Mass Effect, Mass Effect II)
Antialiasing Mode = Override any application settings
Antialiasing Setting = 4xMSAA.
Antialiasing Transparency Multisampling = Enabled
Antialiasing Transparency Supersampling = 4x Supersampling
Anisotropic Filtering Mode = User-defined / Off
Anisotropic Filtering Setting = 16x
Texture Filtering Quality = High Quality.

Note : These settings for GTX 560 Ti~ at 60frame~ if you got a better video card you can even increase the 4X to 8x, if you got a weaker card redue it to 2x each, anything much weaker then you can't really get any benefits from this guide, this guide is only meant for people with powrful graphic cards and wants to enjoy the eye candy

If you get it working, would you be kind enough to export the profile from NVInspector & link it if possible please?

I can't get it working here. Might be my config though as I couldn't get AA working with ME2 recently either.

You purchased the game at full price. They're already screwing you in the arse. DLC is just the without lube version.

I'm wondering what else they have planned for the Mass Effect universe. Not a chance in hell are they going to end it here when they've got years of potential milking with spin-offs ahead of them. Its a game obviously tainted by EA's lust for money and by now it was practically hyping itself.

ME3 is currently getting terrible user scores and reviews on Metacritic.

After playing it for few hours, 7 or 8/10 worthy for me, so far...

Meh, user reviews on metacritic for this sort of high profile game are about as useful as the professional reviews. If you look a lot of them have just scored 0 and its only been made worse by EA/Biowares ridiculous DLC antics which always makes the trolling worse. You need to look for proper independent reviews if you want an honest opinion.

So wait a minute from what I am reading unless I pay extra for the DLC and play multiplayer than no matter how many hours I put into the game or how many side missions I do I will never get the best ending?

That sucks.

Another thing that sucks is that a highstreet retailer that I pre ordered from (I have vouchers for them) has cancelled my pre order because they are not stocking the pc version :(

Neil why dont you either buy the game or shut up about it? If you have no interest in the series then why infect this thread with your nonsense?
and if you do and are buying it then it doesnt really matter what reviews give it does it now?

after playing it all this evening i can now understand the mp side of things - basically you have a war arena where you have to recruit people, and do challenges etc to the war effort. This increases your score and overal territories - the whole point being that by the end of the game you need a kick ass armarda - I wouldnt be surprised if you could do it all in sp but it would take forever, i believe mp is just a short cut to some of the stuff you need. this is displayed once connected to cerberus in the menu and also on normandy:

and yes you will always need the extra dlc to get the 'true' ending.

not a fan boy. your some how horrified reviewers gave it 10/10 - shock horror its not the first game ever to receive such a score. Like I said either buy it or dont based on whatever reasoning you want, but if your not going to buy it your posts just come across as pointless.

Didn't you bang a handful of nonsense into the Alan Wake thread? If I've mistaken you for someone else, or you have since become enlightened, I apoligise.

dlc antics aside(which I find disgusting) I can't really see myself not enjoying the game. I couldn't care less about reviews, which are obviously paid for as we all know, but I am not ruling out that it might be a 10/10 game for me. I would be suprised if i found it less than 9 tbh. At the end of the day, they are going to have to do something catastrophic to mess this series up.

PS. The multiplayer affecting SP thing IS a big issue for me though if true, but i highly doubt that it is, certainly not to the extent that the article posted earlier seems to suggest. Before release they categorically said that it wouldn't be the case, and they would not try so blatant a lie imo.

Also not liking comments I am reading about the dlc being a necessity

How on earth can they justify day 1 dlc that changes the ending of the game?

Because apparently its separated the vast majority of people into 3 categories. Those who want to be violated without lube and so bought the DLC or paid the premium for the collectors edition and those who want to be violated with lube who are 'disgusted' by EA's sudden inclusion of major day one premium day one DLC and are still buying the game but not the DLC. The third category is for people who aren't complete retards and realise that the only way EA are going to change how they do things is if you don't buy the game, full stop. Unfortunately it seems the latter category is in the minority and so the number of people who don't like lube have more than made up for the loss of profits.

So its only going to continue. Don't worry, the next 2 games based in the ME universe will come loaded with DLC for you to throw your wallet at.

I'm loving the crap surrounding this game right now.
Is it possible to achieve best ending without playing MP?
Sticking to my guns as of so far, haven't bought or even played it, it'd be easy to do so, even with the DLC.
