*** Mass Effect 3 ***

....I restarted:D

Total derp moment- When choosing the diversion team leader, i missed the scroll bar when choosing:o so didn't have Miranda, Jacob or Garrus to choose from! ....the most likely to be successful

This game has lovely set pieces. Early game Turian spoiler:

Palaven's moon. Stunning. With Reaper forces marching in the distance, cruisers flying in, Palaven literally burning in the distance. Involuntarily let out a 'my god' when I panned to see the planet, burning, in the distance.

Just finished the game and DLC in 30 hours.

End game spoiler!!

The game was great until the end, I think they failed with the endings. Why wasn't the Normandy helping at earth and why did the Mass Relays blow up? I watched the other 2 endings on Youtube and they are the same, I would give this game 8/10 but the ending 4/10 :(

On the ending
I think really the worst thing about the ending is through dialogue you create choices throughout the entire 3 games, yet at the end you met essentially a new life form, who tells you stuff and there is NO interaction at all. The actual choices are horrific, none make sense. I mean the entire(give or take) galaxy's fleet is in earth space, with mass relays gone every other home planet is essentially left defenseless, with most of the main population centre's planets burning. There is pretty much no chance for anyone to survive when you think about it.

I did the take control of them ending, and was quite irked by the lack of prologue, just nothing, where did the reapers go, did anyone ask what happened or where sheperd was. Why would the mass relays blow up, etc, etc. So I thought I probably picked the worst ending, painfully slow play through of the final 20 minutes(the latest you could save in the game before the end) pick another one, the same ruddy video with a different colour god damned energy wave, seriously, identical but a different colour energy wave?

Third I saw on youtube and was even more stupid, destroy all synthetic life, so why did Earth blow up and seemingly everyone died? I could be mistaken in that it was the Reapers explosion that killed people but they seemed to add earth turning charred which suggested the wave blew up everything?

Anyway, unquestionably there should have been a conversation with the catalyst, and some smart talking would have let a "great" ending happen, Shepard dying but taking control of the reapers and nothing else bad, or the blow the reapers up version.

THe other disappointing thing is, I saved the Rachi queen, TWICE, and all i get is a message saying some Rachni engineers are working on something I never see? I also had the "minimum" requirement for fleet strength about 3-4 hours into the game. Everything else felt like it made no impact, I had basically everything done, maxed out fleet strength yet still got a choice of 3 horrific endings?

Totally high right now, the more I think about it the more I think they utterly ruined what should have been a brilliant trilogy with token "choice based" crap in the final game, that ultimately meant nothing, pointless battles and no chance for a "good" outcome.

So I just did this:

SPOILER...

Helped the Krogan cure the genophage, so the salarians haven't sided with me. I am now meeting with one of their diplomats. I really couldn't deceive Wrex because he rocks, but I hope I haven't hurt my war assets score in the long run.

Absolutely loving the game so far, although I don't think it is quite as good as the previous two. Still a worthy game in the series though.

So Mordin dies on you?

Play through to the end of the demo of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning and you get some ingame items for ME3

It is on Origin and Steam. Unfortunately I never finished it, and I can't be bothered

Looking at the bioware forum, I wonder how long it'll be till they release DLC containing new endings? Looking at a few of the comments it looks like there are enough morons out there willing to pay even more money just to get new endings

And we wonder why Bioware have started to release such bad quality games when people still buy em...

I honestly don't recall any severe bugs at release in ME2 (I preordered the DDE). The only two that spring to mind is the crash bug when you try and put things on the hotbar sometimes which they NEVER fixed and the weird issue (again with the hotbar) when you try and select skills to drag onto it where it selects a skill to the right of where you pointed which again, they never fixed.

There probably were a few more but none that I remember off the top of my head. While playing the MP demo I've ran into several considerably more severe ones. Changing character in the lobby meant most of your skills wouldn't be assigned to the hotbar and you couldn't do it manually which crippled you. And then a bizarre glitch where I started 'falling' from the ceiling, before eventually falling through the map to the bottom of the zone where I couldn't do anything.

I'm encountering quite a few bugs in ME2 atm. I often find myself float to the ceiling and can't get down so I have to reload, and some characters are invisible in cutscenes.

I only ever came across 2 bugs on ME2, one on N7: MSV Estevanico, your exploring a crashed frieghter & can get hung up on a girder, holstering/unholstering your weapon repeatedly normaly sorts that one out.

And on N7: Mining the canyon, theres a path that you walk up as you follow the mech, occasionally, as the path narrows your squadmates can bump you into the terrain & you get stuck, that ones a mission breaker & only restarting sorts it out.

The main bug in ME1 was the one where you got stuck to the side of walls (or occasionally nothing) and the only way to get out of it was to load last save. Lost probably over an hour of gameplay total through that.

As soon as I complete this I am going to play through the entire series again. Still enjoying this one. Should manage to max out my war rating by the end of the game, hopefully the ending isn't too bad. Have encountered a fair few bugs, but nothing game breaking.
