*** Mass Effect 3 ***

Why not just avoid any risk of snafus & dl a save game?.

Because that would render the last 2 weeks of me playing ME1 and 2 pointless:p

There is only one small thing I want to change tbh anyway and that is from ME1, though I am considering putting it bakc and using a dl game for my 2nd playthrough(if i do one, I hear the ending is unforgivable)

EDIT- It hasn't worked, but I don't really mind

Just done the first bit. Gameplay feels very good indeed(i didn't play the demo).

I hate to go on about it, but the textures on the armour and clothes make me sad:(

I don't think it looks that bad. People need to get over the graphics tbh. It is a dated engine and a console game (as most are these days). The story is still better than most games out there.

The me2 save import, what a carry on,can see my import in main game, start game and nothing, bioware forums on fixes wtf,for such a simple thing i dont think i will bother and will start fresh,Bioware/EA=FAIL,really am starting to hate ea with a passion to the point why should i buy their product, just pirate it instead.

Are you using your own save or one you downloaded?

I had an issue when downloading one in that if you just put the save file in the "Saves" folder it doesn't work, it has to be inside another folder.

Best way to fix this is just create a new char in ME2, save, then replace the save inside ME2 > Saves > [folder named something like shep_22_14211].

Worked fine for me.

Cheers mate, yes i'mm using my own,i can see my file in the main game, but when i start there is no character.i shall try your way,i did try a few ways from the bioware forums,it's really pathetic having to jump through hoops to get such a simple thing to work.:(

Thoroughly enjoying it so far, not that I have done much. If I had one criticism of it so far, it would be that it is far too fast paced, but then that is the story. I would be the first to complain if you had missions where you just wander around aimlessly when the biggest war ever is going on!

I think the savegame that I edited has kind of worked, as I think I am getting the dialogue and scenes for the Liara and Ashley romance paths. And they have both mentioned Miranda!

Just finished it here. It wasn't that bad an ending I thought. However I've had little time to reflect on it as I'll be now restarting it with an ME2 import as the ME3 default non-import ME game variables are very poor.

I just finished it myself and the resulting feeling is one of emptiness really, one of "Is that it?". All of the story and "investment" in the characters leads to that ending, which didn't bring any closure (for me at least). It just ended with those silly choices I am pretty sure I have seen in another game (but where they actually made sense.) Unfortunately I can see the closure I wish for coming along in DLC.

An ending like Dragon Age: Origins would have suited me fine... (ending followed by text to let you know what happened to various characters / party members.)

I actually quite enjoyed the gameplay, but I found the ending and plot direction disappointing. I don't think I will bother replaying even though it would be nice to get some different characters in on the various missions and see some different conversations. Sadly, I just can't be bothered because of the ending :P.

Bioware just aren't what they used to be... they will no longer be amongst my list of "instant purchase" developers (a list that is sadly dwindling).

Bioware or EA? EA are definitely the ones responsible for the exploitative DLC choices, and some stringent budget cuts that definitely had a part to play in making the game worse than it could have been. Their attempts to make it appeal to a wider audience probably influenced the plot quite a lot, i don't know what happens at the end (and may never find out) but an alternative ending was mentioned earlier in the thread.

I only installed this today but good gawd how bad is the AI for your team mates

Sometimes they are with me, other times they have somehow got themselves stuck in walls even when next to a door....

Shockingly Bad....

BUT

Otherwise enjoying the game, but i hope stuff like the above gets patched out pronto.

Bioware have allowed themselves to be pushed in that direction by EA. To me, (and be warned, this is rather melodramatic) it is akin to selling their souls off. My intention really isn't to be throwing flaming bile at the folks who worked on the game, I have just found myself being left considerably disappointed, I used to expect so much more from Bioware, I used to expect to be left satisfied at the end of their games.

Now I will look ahead expecting monetization because they never said "No" to EA. It is a shame as Bioware were (and probably still are) one of those companies who had the respect of their fan base, who I feel could possibly pull off something akin to Psychonauts 2 and Kickstarter if that situation arose.

Anyway, I am sure you know what it is like to get invested in a story... fiction it may be, but I myself am a sucker for a good tale, and with that goes an ending that gives me closure, rather than be left wondering what the hell is going on and if DLC will come along to finish a story that should already be complete.

Apologies for the longish post. I don't usually feel the need to post my disappointments but something about this ending compelled me to.

Edit : As for the alternative endings, the one extra bit I know of don't really add anything significant at all other than a potential DLC hook, I'm not interested enough to play to find it myself either. I might youtube it later.

Well I got my game today been putting a few hours into to it. So far I'm really enjoying it. I got the CE from Shopto. I just finished the From Ashes DLC. I thought it was a really nice bit of DLC. I can understand why some people might not like it. But as a fan of the series it was fantastic tbh quite a bit of lore to it.

It seems most if not all the DLC files are already in the main game files:
