Massive Car insurance costs?

Anyone cancelled with aviva car insurance online recently? Just interested to see if they offer a discount as part of the cancellation steps.

I called to cancel. They won't offer a discount. They said everything is automated.

Only asked as Admiral knocked some money off a home insurance renewal automatically when I clicked cancel. You have to say you want to cancel a few times though and I wasn't fussed about cancelling that policy.

Shop around, insurance prices are down 25% on their historic Covid related highs.

Hmm, I suppose I can run it through a price comparison site.

Edit - Nah, they were miles cheaper, £372, next cheapest £440 - that's about what I paid last year.

I did this a few times last week, and found on Monday it stopped doing the discounts after a couple of goes.

Luckily I moved onto a better car insurer for about a third less. Just have to split my multicover and the good home insurance providers cost more.

Overall saved £100 splitting the policy and leaving Admiral behind.
